Good Morning,

We had rain and I do believe I heard some rumbles of thunder during the night. When I got up it looked like the sun might come out but I think Mother Nature is still deciding what to do.

Is Saturday a time out day for you? I would love it to be a time out day and some days I make it that way but more often than not it's a day of playing catch up for things that aren't done during the week. I'm become more and more frustrated as I try to play catch up with uncooperative people that live here and looking at the same stuff that was lying around last Saturday. I asked last night about things laying around and the answer was I'm using that stuff. Don't exactly know what it can't be put in a box and stored somewhere else than in the middle of the hallway. So it's ignore it or pick it up myself. What's your Saturday looking like? It's either do it myself or choose to ignore it again but I guess I need to tackle the mess that lies within.

I did get out early yesterday. My boss actually kept moving the time up. Not sure why he was so anxious to get rid of us but that was find with me. I did make the mistake of coming home first. I should have gone right from work but instead I put myself in the middle of the afternoon on the road with the rest of LI on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend! Trying to avoid some of the mayhem I tried to take a shortcut into a parking lot and actually getting lost in a parking garage, got out made the same wrong turn and had to do it all over again and when I finally got into the right parking lot in the middle of the Costco parking lot....such a mistake! But I finally made it home, curled up with my book and spent most of the afternoon reading. That was nice! I did get a form in the mail yesterday from our insurance company dealing with claim for my toe. I guess that they have to make sure that it didn't happen at work or somewhere else where someone else's insurance should be making the claim-but how does one exactly explain "in detail" how I was a klutz and rammed into a piece of well constructed furniture!

So today will be spent attending to the house and debating what to do with the XY's stuff that's laying around. I know what I want to do with it but I'll try to be nice. I also need to make my cheesecake for tomorrow's bbq. I spoke to her yesterday and told her that I was making cheesecake and she was very excited-seems cheesecake is her favorite. Just hope it comes out ok!

Time to get moving. I actually want to sit with a second cup of coffee and continue reading but I'm really going to tackle what should be tackled.

Hope everyone has a super Saturday.

I am sure your cheesecake will come out superbly...you are such a good cook. Hope the toe is doing better and better every day. Too bad you can't take a day off for yourself to relax...kind of hard to do with "things" lying around. Speaking of boxes in hallways...ugh! Still moving in here.

Glad you got out early yesterday but sorry the parking/traffic wasn't the best.

Hope you enjoy your bbq tomorrow....

Sending the kids off to college is not easy...had to do it 4 times. Funny thing, when they come back for an extended break, you will have to get used to them being home again. The emotions just go up and down constantly and you see your "baby" maturing more and more each time. It does get better and you realize how lucky your child/children are to have this oppurtunity which a lot of us did not get.

Hope you and the dogs don't get too lonely. Just remember...they do come back more that you want with dirty laundry.

Hugs
