Good morning
Miss P
Good Morning,
A beautiful sunny day here on LI. The nasty humidity of yesterday is gone and is being replaced by the nice weather we had most of last week.
I was in such a change of seasons mood yesterday and the picture posted sort of sums up my feelings. Unfortunately I had the ac blasting away to withstand the nasty humidity of outdoors. Every once in a while I get the whim of moving things around in the house. Sidetables got moved to new locations, an end table in DD's room got moved down to my little TV room, a mirror that's been collecting dust in our bedroom has a new home as well as some picture rearranging which did require me locating the hammer and nails which I think DH purposely hides on me. DH's reaction-I see you've done some rearranging. He sort of wandered from room to room seeing what I had been up to. Not much more of a reaction than that so I'm not sure what that means. All I know is housecleaning is the most thankless job in the entire world! The box of past weeks is sitting in the hallway. The XY's collective "stuff" is sitting in there. We'll see, if ever, it gets moved.
I did manage to get some exercise in yesterday. I was in such a foul mood to start the day and I didn't want to feel that way the whole day. I dared to put on a pair of sneakers and rode my exercise bike for 10 minutes. The only bad thing was that Otto was barking which he usually doesn't do and in my haste to get off the bike I got my foot wedged between the bike pedal and the treadmill-ouch and yes it was the broken toe foot. That poor tootsie is certainly being tested. But I did manage to get back to the basement and finish up the pedaling and do some work with my weights before I had to get the sneaker back off. That 25 minutes did feel good!
Grocery shopping is on the agenda this morning and then I have to finish up the topping for the cheesecake. I was tired when I started that project and I misread the baking instructions so I'm hoping that it turned out alright for the bbq today. What came off the sides of the springform pan tasted fine so keeping my fingers crossed.
I do hope the headlines I read in today's paper about this storm aren't going to come to pass. I just can't imagine the devastation that may occur in those areas when they haven't recovered from 3 years ago. Thoughts and prayers are certainly with everyone that may be affected by that storm.
Rhonda-thinking of you and hope everything is OK. Margo-great to hear from you yesterday.
Well, I'd better get to what I've got to do before heading out the door. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Everyone,
I made it through the first week of school and although it was far from perfect and I have a lot still to get in order I'm thankful we made it through and I remind myself to take one day at a time and keep plugging away at all that needs to be done because I've learned that doing my best each day is the most I should expect from myself.
