Good morning Nancy, thanks for getting us started. You are up bright and early! I need a new start, like you said it was a bad summer of poor choices for me and very little exercise. So I am on board with starting new.........new week, new school year (Rob starts today), new everything. Wish the old bod could be new too but best to work with what I got! Had a horrible nights sleep. I pigged out last night, after parents were gone I plopped myself in front of the computer here and I ate 2 donuts then headed back into the kitchen around 10:30 for a heaping bowl of pasta salad. My tummy was revolting during the night. Between what I ate/drank and Aunt Flo I was up like 6 times. Not good at all! Aunt Flo is so horrible this month it is not fair. I plan on wearing my jogging suit to the office today. My boss is in Florida visiting his daughter at college and we have no appointments scheduled, just us girls catching up on paper work, phone calls and filing. Pretty simple day and since I will be wearing my sneaker we will walk at lunch time. I am supposed to work till 3 but I might have to cut it short depending on how I feel as the day wears on. Katie is going out to the barn this morning with Rob's girl friend Stacy so that will keep her morning busy then the afternoon will revolve around cleaning up her bedroom! Looks like another beautiful day here on Long Island. Time to get Rob up and into the bathroom and get my hair dryed and out the door on time. Thinking breakfast might be some vanilla yogurt with sliced fresh peaches. Hope you all have a wonderful "new" day today!
Yes, it is a beautiful day here on LI! I'm so not ready to go back to work this morning. I'm not sure what I'm going through mentally lately but I'm feeling very unsettled about so many things right now. Maybe it's a mid 50's thing with me, lack of exercise-maybe it's the XY driving me crazy or maybe a mixture of everything.
Anyway, yes, it's a new month and as my boss always says at the start of the Labor Day weekend-Happy New Year! New school years, court calendars back into full swing in the office and new beginnings in a lot of ways.
At the moment I'm feeling very fluffy and a need to get back into some cardio activity but I really do need to wait until I get the OK on the toe issue. Hoping next week's x-ray bring some positive news. I can work with my weights though and before I get too comfortable in my chair this evening I'm going to head down here and pick them up. Please make sure to remind me that I said that this morning or you may promptly kick me in the butt. I've been doing way too much baking as well and I'm going to pack up some of the stuff and take it to work. It's pretty much out of sight and out of mind at work and hopefully others will indulge. DH's eating habits could use some tweaking. I actually sat at a table with him yesterday while he ate a bowl of cream of chicken sou-ok not so bad, followed by anchovies on white bread followed by a Boston cream donut. But yet when I make salad with dinner he can't eat that because it bothers his stomach! Go figure!
LI-Deb-I thought about you and your XY's and the car things yesterday. I thought DS finally was finished with the Mustang but now that it's officially "off the road" he has fenders off and other parts off and plans on pulling the motor and redoing the wiring-I just looked at him-and I get "What?". Now he's talking about buying another Mustang so he'll have a daily driver Mustang-of course his definition of daily driver and mine are two different things and add his Trailblazer SS-a boy and his toys-oh my! Your comment about Rob and T-Bell also rang home-Phil comes in from work and says he's going to get something to eat and a few minutes later arrives with his TBell bag! They must have similar blood coursing through their veins!
Nancy-thanks for the offer of the XY but no thanks-maybe we could ship them off together or we could man the shovels together!
Well, better get the show on the road-new day, new week, new month, new year so to speak and best better not be late!
Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday (it is Tuesday right?)
Pool saga continues.............the hole! Word of mouth is that the pool guy is really up to his eye balls and beyond in debt in the pool field. A friend of ours knows another pool guy and they were discussing our situation. So the word is.........He is hiding his pick up truck and his bob cat from being reposesed, he is about a year behind in his mortgage and no one in the pool field will extend him any more credit so it is not looking too promising. Although Bill did go out there yesterday so Katie could ride and he did talk to him and he is still promising that it will be done before the winter comes. Stay tuned!
I never dress down, my idea of dressing down is flats instead of heels but my boss is out of town today and we have no clients scheduled to come in so I figured my nice jogging suit would be fine with fancy flip flops. Much more comfortable then tighter dress pants and heels, I feel like major crap. I keep running to the bathroom and at this rate my poor hands are taking a beating from washing them everytime. I want to go home!
