Slowing down that fast track Tuesday!

OK this is me sprinkling magic dust over everyone as the evening comes around and we all settle back into our home routines..........so what did everyone do today? Did you get all your "to do" things done? Did you eat well? Did you drink your water? Did you exercise or move around? Did you kiss your favorite person or thing and say thanks for being there? Did you make time for yourself? Did you find today as fast tracked as Patty posted or were you able to slow the pace some? Do tell, do tell............just wait till I tell you all about my afternoon...........

Can't say I had anything very exciting happen today, but my older neighbor did bring me a lovely small arrangement of daisies and red roses, which sure perked up my day. Also, the card had one of those yellow with black stripes and cobalt blue spots on the bottom butterflies that I like so much, so it was perfect. She's such a good neighbor.
Erin called last night and wants me to baby-sit for Jackson Oct. 20th to 24th while her sitter is on vacation. I love to do that, but it's while my sister will be here from MD and staying with me. I'll have to run it past her and see what she thinks. I know the bulk of her time will be with Dad. I may even suggest to Erin that her step-mother and I split the time.
The meeting at the nursing home was productive. I stayed only a very short time to visit Dad. He didn't seem quite as with it today as he was yesterday. I'm hoping as the new antibiotic gets more into his system that will improve.
Tim and I emailed today and I went by his office for a little while on the way to the vet. It's right on one of the roads I take. Katie and I visited, and he seemed happy that we were there, yet he seemed at a loss for words unless he was

Jdeb sorry about the stress at home with Eric. Men are difficult, nothing like us women! I understand the stress/work thing all too well. My Bill is married to the business. Thank goodness he turns it off on Sundays and has tried to make that family day but sometimes he forgets. If it ain't fixing cars it is racing them so my patience runs thin a lot. Like now since I am going on 3 months without a stove or dishwasher.
Susan that rain was unbelievable this afternoon. When we were leaving for work this morning Bill told me to bring my rain coat, did I listen.......nope. So I stayed in the office for lunch, thank goodness I brought lunch with me, just in case. Glad you got to come home to a clean bathroom and kitchen floor. My floor is so bad the board of health is going to be called in soon. I keep hoping if I don't wash it they will get the idea and finally get the new one installed. I keep hoping! Listen that laundry will be there tomorrow so do not fret over it!
Patty glad to read you got your run in, not outside but a run nonetheless. Mixed numbers on your chickens, do you know which flocks did better? Do you keep a log on each house and what you have done differently or similar? Why would your husband ask you to stay home with him because it was his first night home............men. Mine would have said the same thing. I probably would stay home with him, stupid sap that I am. So what are you going to do???
OK let me start off by saying it was an extremely busy day for me. I was supposed to leave the office at 3:00 but we have a high stress closing going down tomorrow and my boss and his brother were totally nuts. My boss' family owns the building and apartment complex were our office is located and they have been in contract to a major company to buy the place for several months and tomorrow is the closing on the deal. Multi million dollars and their stress was over whelming. One of the other sect scheduled a bank closing this afternoon for 3:30 (stupid) and just left at 2:30 with the attitude he could handle it. Needless to say he was pissed and I told him I would stay so I canceled my nail appointment (yes can you believe I canceled it) and stayed until 5:30. I had plans of going to the local WW meeting but I missed the 5:00 one........I walked over to see Bill at 5:45 when I got home and we discussed the WW deal and he thinks I should give Jenny Craig a try for a couple of weeks. Thinks it might help push me into a positive attitude and might help push a few of those hard to
