Good Morning,

Ike certainly has made a mark in Texas as I was reading through this morning's newspaper. They've already predicted that gas prices will be affected here because of the storm.

Not sure what's on the agenda for the day. At some point I do have to get out and get something for younger DD for her birthday so I can get it into the mail. Her birthday is next Sunday but she'll be on a flight headed to Germany for a trade show. It's her first overseas flight and she's flying alone with a layover in Germany. Her being at this particular show isn't really necessary and there's a show in New York shortly after that does need her undivided attention but the guy she works under insists that she go to Germany anyway. Hence, her issues with her present position. I guess she'd be more excited about the prospect if there was a chance that she was going to be able to enjoy being in Germany. Anyway, I digress...there's the usual tidying up around the stuff left lying around. Looking at the front yard there are still bushes that need to be trimmed and weeds that need to be pulled but after some heavy rain yesterday I have to wait until things dry out a bit for that. Both of my freezers need to be sorted through and reorganized so I know what is in there. I find myself buying things I don't need since I don't see them in the freezer. As usual lots of things to keep me busy just have to decide which ones to do.

Not sure what the weatherman holds in store for us. The forecast had us having a rainy, warm and humid weekend. I had a nice fall meal planned for tomorrow since I have custody (as DD puts it) of she and her BF for dinner tomorrow. I think she's having a little bit of trouble adapting to having to do her Betty Crocker thing. Her BF is very good about picking up dinner or going out to eat but I think she feels the need to cut back on that. She's never lived on her own and I do believe that she's a bit more aware and appreciative of how hard it is to work full time and then come home and get dinner together and the clean up afterwards and even though her BF does the laundry he apparently does it bachelor style and doesn't quite understand the sorting process!

That's about it from this neck of the woods. Hope you all have a super Saturday!
