That picture certainly sends out an invitation for quiet time.
The weather is looking rather gloomy this morning. We never did have rain yesterday just a lot of warm humid weather. Today looks like much of the same.
I never did get to the mall yesterday. My GF called and we get to yacking there's a lot of it. Her brother is down in Houston and the last she heard from him he was going to evacuate but she hasn't heard from him since so she has no idea at the moment where he is. Then both DD's called the mall is not a place that I want to be on a Saturday afternoon so I'll have to try to fit that in today. Grocery shopping is on the agenda and then getting my nails done. I so want and need a pedicure but I'm going to wait one more week. I hope to get some reading time in as well this afternoon and I have "21" from Netflix waiting for me to watch.
Did you ever wake up and feel like you're falling apart? That's me this morning. I went on the treadmill yesterday just for a few minutes and at an easy pace and did a weight workout and this morning my knees hurt, I can feel every muscle groaning in my arms, shoulders and chest-I think I'm getting old!
I have custody and visitation with DD and her BF for dinner this evening. I already have chicken marinating to go into the oven. I have a feeling I'll have to turn the ac on to tolerate having the oven on.
Donna-how was the fair yesterday-apples and altered apples part of the day? Pats and the NY team-tough choosing my football pics this week :)! Rhonda-glad you and your Mom had a good time at the dance. Sounds like it was a great time for both of you. Deb/MN-how was the wedding? Li-Deb-how was the parenting class? Have times changed? Nancy-I can see your concern for your DS and DDIL-that would worry me as well. Patty-glad you had a good time with your sisters and niece. Karen-how's Zach doing? Did you get a call from the hand specialist? Margie and Kat-hope all is well with both of you. Margo-thinking of you this morning. Waving hi to everyone and hope all is well with everyone. Enjoy your Sunday!
Hey there I am here in Ct and should be leaving shortly to drive home to NY. Drove to my sisters early yesterday morning (6:30) and we did the parenting class at the hospital where she is going to deliver the baby. We got the grand tour, they filled her in on lots of stuff, and taught her some basic relazation things. positions, breathing, etc and they the actaul lamaze breathing. Yes Susan times have changed, lol. The instructor asked each "couple" their names, due dates, doctors name.....when she got to us I said her sister. They asked if I was her coach, and I explained only if her husband was on the road, then I would be driving to CT like a mad woman. Actually it was cool because I got to put my 2 cents worth in since I had experience of 3 kids, 3 csections and I also nursed my kids. After listening to some of the pregnant rule changes and the new baby changes it is amazing I never killed my three kids, lol. Left the class at 4:30, came home and let my sisters dog out, stopped at Stew Leanords for some fruit and frozen yogurt then we went out to a nice dinner. I was beat and we were under the covers by 11:00. We laid in bed for over an hour just talking, had some breakfast and showered. I will be on the road shortly, don't want to hit too much traffic on the bridges and roads. Katie needs me to help her with some home work and they are asking for me at home. Bill is such a worry wart, lol. If I hear becareful driving one more time, lol. Well it is hot and humid out there, more like August instead of September. Have a good day everyone and I will check back with you all tonight.
Sorry...quick check-in. Day was crazy. First church and then home to get ready for apple picking out East. The whole family here went and then all came back to have early dinner and they hung here until just a few minutes ago.
Hope to get back here early tomorrow but it looks more like after I go to the gym. I must get and stay on track.
Good morning everyone. Yesterday was such a nice day with my
