Strange how things work out Karen! Because of your DS's injury, you may be able to have a "girls weekend" and meet up with us.

So sorry about the deaths...sheesh...when it rains it pours. You should be able to change the flights...I think it is called a bereavement or something and it shouldn't cost anything to make the switch. Just have to get through those darn menu's on the phone unless it is Southwest...they actually answer the phone!

That is amazing about those doctors being so nice. You don't see that too often. Good luck to DS and his surgery tomorrow.

As far as my day...it went well except for about 5 minutes ago. An oatmeal cookie called my name.

I am very tired. Can't wait to go to bed. I don't know how I will get through an all day fitness workshop this Saturday.

Karen,

So sorry to hear about your family's losses.

Hope Zach's surgery goes well tomorrow. Sounds like a great teamwork from both doctors to get everything together so quickly. Don't hear about things like that too often these days!

In spite of everything going on I do hope you get to make the DC trip. It would be great to meet you!

Hugs,

Let's see summing up Monday-work was work and as Monday's go I guess it wasn't too bad. I just didn't feel like being there-but nothing new about that. The great wall of fatigue hit about 4PM and carried me all the way home and into the door to make dinner. Fortunately dinner was an easy one and didn't tax my mind too badly.

Otto and I headed out for our after dinner walk. DH had volunteered but the toe felt better as the day went on-I guess the Advil probably helped as well. I came home and was about ready to plop myself in the chair but made myself get to the basement. I figured the bike was probably the safest bet for me. I can't say that I really enjoy the stationary bike too much and I so admire Margie for all the pedaling she does! I did some leg lifts and crunches and all that kind of good stuff along with some stretches. So in spite of really not wanting to be down there I ended up with a decent 45 minute workout.

More dealings with our mail order pharmacy. They still didn't have DH's prescription and today made the 4th phone call to them to try to rectify their mistake which started this whole problem. She's assured me that it's right this time, of course the last 3 people have made the same assurance. The prescription is showing on the website but still without a name so it wouldn't surprise me if it disappears again. I'm still waiting for an order which was mailed last Tuesday. I was a bit sarcastic and asked her if they mail these out via Pony Express. She did admit that it seemed like a rather long period of time but there's nothing that they can do until it's been MIA for 12 days-that's great when you're waiting on a prescription. I did also mention that my Netflix movies get to me a lot faster than my prescriptions. I do understand the whole trying to keep costs down and it irritates DH when I still take a prescription up to the pharmacy but it's whole lot easier than this nonsense. I've had problems before with really slow times and if there's any question in my mind about having enough to get me through it's up to the good old pharmacist. Ok-I'm off my soap box-it just truly frustrating and aggravating!

DD called and they got a counter offer on their offer and they countered back but they've reached as far as they can go. They're about $5,000 apart and not sure what will happen at this point. The sellers apparently have no other offers, they're apparently found a house to buy so I guess it depends on whether they decide to sit and wait it out for another offer or take theirs. The saga continues...

I'm all squeaky clean from my shower, I've eaten well all day, had lots of water to drink, I did get in a workout so now it really is time to retire to the big chair for the evening.

Hope you've all had a good day. Pleasant dreams everyone!

Ended up taking Dad to the ER last night. We had my birthday dinner at the nursing home and Dad was not doing well. He started trembling a lot, which he has never done. He kept falling asleep while sitting up, didn't want to eat, and couldn't say much. I took him back to his room to have them get him ready for bed early and when we uncovered his hands, they were dark BLUE and varying shades of blue to his elbows!!!

I went to the RN immediately. Thank goodness the one who's so good (and my niece used to date) was on duty. He got him on oxygen and had various ambulance services called until one could get there immediately. Seemed as though they were there in less than 10 minutes. My sister and niece left, but I went to the hospital and Mom came along later. When he arrived his color was back to normal after giving him high dose oxygen and a nebulizer treatment. Most of the trembling had stopped, his eyes were partially open, and he could say a few words.

Mom stayed till about 8:30. She doesn't see well after dark, and it was already dark. When I came back from walking her to the car, the RN from the nursing home was there. He was so concerned (and such
