Quote of the Day
"Never regret. If it's good, it's wonderful. If it's bad, it's experience."

Good morning....barely good morning. But, church and breakfast are behind me and I feel like I accomplished something. I know I should dust and vacuum before the family gets back but I really don't feel like doing anything but have a relaxing quiet Sunday. Tomorrow is DH's birthday and I don't have anything for him. Of course he just recently went shopping and bought himself a whole bunch of stuff so there went all my ideas.

Hope you have a nice day today, Nancy and Patty. Glad you both are getting a chance to enjoy the last day of summer.

See you all later or tomorrow. Should we start a countdown for our trip? I think it is 13 days until we depart from home.

Grace

Just a brief check-in to THANK YOU ALL for your prayers and positive thoughts and to let you know that Dad has stabilized for now. They still don't know what the problem is, which is pretty scary. He was admitted to the hospital, so at least he's where he can get proper care. Tim came by the ER and spent close to an hour there. More about that later.

Jackson's party turned out to be just family due to bad weather, illnesses, etc. He was quite excited about "presents" and loved leading us in cheers during the FL-TN game. He'd say,Go Gators!, then everyone would clap and say yea! He did that like 6 times in a row.

Good Afternoon,

I had gotten to the computer early in the AM but oldest DD called to tell me about the black tie wedding that they went to. Lots of $ per plate but she said that it was a major disappointment. She had had a migraine during the day, slept most of it away but sitting on top of the band made her feel yucky. Dinner wasn't served until way after 11PM so it wasn't a spectacular evening.

Today is younger DD's 27th birthday. I can't believe she's 27! She's also across the Atlantic in Cologne, Germany. I spoke to her about 7:30 this morning-1:30 PM Germany time. She was planning on taking a shower and then heading to meet a coworker later in the afternoon to see some of the sights, have dinner and then back to her hotel. She was exhausted but I'm glad she'll be able to see some of the sights. She was figuring with doing the trade show there wouldn't be a lot of time for that. The guy she works under finally agreed that she could cut the trip short in order to get back earlier and work on the NY show that really needs her time and attention. I'm doing a little Mom reflection as well as I often do on their birthdays. She was always my adventuresome one!

Anyway, I've been grocery shopping, had my nails and piggies painted. I was a little skeptical about the pedicure but she was gentle and it worked out fine. DH wants to take a ride. With the cost of a gallon of gas I would really rather sit with my book and finish up my miscellaneous tasks but I know he wants to go somewhere. It is a beautiful day here. We even saw some hummingbirds in the yard today.

Rhonda-thinking of you and your family. Patty hope the headache is gone. Donna-sounds like a good time-Happy Birthday to your Mom! Waving hi to everyone-Dh is calling!
