Really sorry that your day has turned out as it did. You are certainly dealing with a difficult situation and knowing what you've said about the situation going on I'm sure much of what came out was well deserved. It's unfortunate when resentment and frustration become bottled up and things that need to be and should be said just come out the wrong way. I plead guilty to the same charges. I let things fester and things come to a head and I inevitably know what I need to say but they end up coming out the wrong way. I can certainly relate to how you feel about the outcome. It's one of the things that has come up for me with the therapist.
Not too bad of a day. The work day went by relatively quickly. Unfortunately for one of my coworkers she got sent by her doctor to the emergency room. She's been complaining of stomach issues for awhile. I had given her the name of my GI doctor and she had set up an appointment. She had such pain yesterday that she called in sick and ended up going to her regular doctor who did blood work and told her to set up various tests. She got a call from the doctor today who was very concerned over a very high white blood count and told her to get herself to the ER for more blood work and a CAT scan. It seems that he thought she might have appendicitis. She was reluctant to go and didn't understand why she shouldn't just go to a test center. I think she was afraid of the CAT scan. We practically threw her out of the office to go do what needed to be done rather than face a ruptured appendix if that's what it happened to be. I hope everything turns out OK for her.
I came home and grilled the burgers and my exploding orzo salad was really good. It was just one of those dinners that really just hit the spot for both of us.
Otto and I headed out after dinner for our nightly stroll and before I had a chance to change my mind I headed to the basement. I spoke a bit too soon about the toe. I was doing well but I think I may have aggravated things a bit with the treadmill last night. I opted for the stationary bike instead. My mystery pain that hasn't been around for months resurfaced this afternoon so I didn't do the lower body workout that I had thought about doing. Of course the medication that helps with this issue seems to have expired and so had the prescription. Hopefully it was a one time incident and won't be back. There are certainly days where I feel like I'm falling apart!
Toe icing and DWTS was on the agenda although I'm a bit disappointed with the the results!
It's past my bedtime and need to get myself to bed. Pleasant dreams everyone!
