Such a great message this morning Miss P! And one that I need to remember.
Today is DS (aka my baby and my son my son)! He was born the day after Hurricane Gloria along with what seemed about a million other babies born at the same hospital. They actually ran out of beds on the maternity floor. He's been a bit of a Hurricane to us especially few years back and was definitely on a bad road but he seems to have corrected that path and has settled himself down and I'm very thankful for that. I don't think DD will be able to stay for the birthday dinner I have planned and it would have been nice to have all the kids here. But the expected visti from her was a nice surprise. DS' Fudgie the Whale Carvel cake was ordered. I'll never live down his 21st birthday when I didn't know you had to preorder that particular cake-I'm still reminded about it!
It's grocery shopping this morning and then I have to pick up a gift card for DS for his birthday gift. I still have a mountain of laundry and the chute is overflowing and the rest of the household things that haven't been attended to this weekend. Oh well!
Kathy-it's so nice to hear from you. Hope everything is OK concerning your biopsies.
Li-Deb-what a nice thing to have for Katie. I think back on it now and wish I had done something similar for my kids. It's a wonderful gift for them.
Well, better get started. I didn't sleep well last night and was up way too early this morning so better get moving while the caffeine is still moving through my veins!
I believe I saw the sun trying to peak through too yesterday Patty and you explained how it looked perfectly. We certainly all could use a little light now and again and my light right now it looking forward to our DC trip and meeting you finally. I must start packing and figure out what color scheme I will go with. Probably navy blue since there is a jean day or two.
No plans today except to shorten a pair of petite size jeans. How pathetic that I have to do that but I do think pants are sized for high shoes. And I gave in and bought a pair because I am afraid I will not fit into the pairs I have now and I dont' want to depress myself by trying. Oh yeah...I do plan to relax since I am exhausted from all the exercise and babysitting I did this week/weekend. I had kicked up the exercise this past week and I had to help out with granddaughters and on had a fever, so she was an extra handful when the motrin kicked in. DD and SIL are coming home this afternoon and "Nana and Aunt B" are screeching the tires leaving there as soon as they arrive home.
