Well us NY gals are home safe and sound. We left DC around 11:30 and I walked in my house sometime around 5:45. We dropped Susan off sometime around 4:45 I guess and headed towards Suffolk County. Emptied the car, and Grace got under way to her awaiting family. Well I walked into cat boxes that needed to be clean (Katie claims she did them yesterday) and tons of laundry. But it is still nice to come home. Heading to the diner in a few for a nice salad and grilled chicken. Tomorrow is back to some serious journaling and point counting, lol.

We had a blast, at least I know I sure did. So wonderful to see everyone. Nice to meet Karen finally and to get to know another side of her..........lol. Tea anyone? We were talked to by a seductive elevator in the hotel, Margie flirted with strange men in the lobbyand inspired me with her strength and how wonderful she looks, Nancy despite her tiny size is the brain of the group but disappointed us with no pole dancing this time, Susan described it best when she said her face hurt from laughing so much, Patty's Rick is just like she described and I would have known him anywhere, Rhonda forever our leader and organizer has more energy then the energizer bunny, Donna forever dedicated to her beloved football player that she will find him in any city, and my roomate Grace showed me what lighting a single match could do, lol. I can not wait to down load my pictures and share them. I look forward to everyone else's shots and stories. Wish the rest of you could have been there for you will never know what you missed. Unfortunatly we never heard from Sassy and I wish she had met us for the day too. Hope everyone had a great time and got home safe and sound. Mind you let the board know I was a good girl this time and I did not give anyone trouble.

I'm home thanks to Deb who was the chaufeer who got Grace and I to and from DC. I was acting as navigator and did manage to get us a bit misplaced on the way down but through some NY navigation driving techniques Deb us there in good time. She also was the taxi for our jaunt to meet up with the Princess! Deb also provided us with several bottles of wine including a bottle of the Fat Guy and some cheese and crackers to go along with it. We were the talk of the housekeeping staff when they got our request for 8 glasses. I did hear the housekeeping staff mention party!

Rhonda once again was our most excellent tour guide and got us to and from our destinations via the Metro. Nancy has named herself the The Thinker and The Brains of the Group! The wit and personality of that South Dakota gal never fails to amaze me. Margie looks wonderful and I am amazed by her strength with all that she has going on. It was great to meet Karen and learn about Wyoming tea and her unusual brewing techniques! Grace is still our Gumby and her flexibility is absolutely amazing! We did some rocking chair aerobics at Cracker Barrell and thinking we could start a new Olympic sport. Donna wanted to know if laughter could induce asthma as she was gasping for air and I really did laugh until my face hurt! I'm sure that I will find myself at work tomorrow staring at my computer screen and probably just start laughing all over again. Miss P led us on a tour of her neck of the woods-which was at times very interesting! After talking to DD about our adventures she's decided that if we had ever gone to college together we never would have graduated! The only unfortunate part was that everyone couldn't be there. As always a fun filled weekend and me coming home with a fuller understanding of why this board is such a special place and ever so grateful to be a part of this group.

There were attempts at housekeeping (including laundry Bill should have come here Deb) here at the homestead. Although I haven't smelt the milk and there doesn't seem to be much that looks edible in the refrigerator hence Chinese takeout for dinner. Apparently there was a backyard stand off between Otto and a neighborhood cat that DH was trying to referee without a casualty to anyone including himself. New Halloween placemats gracing the dining room table that DH found a church sale that are very cute.

I'm headed upstairs for a shower and then to the recliner to recline before I have to head back to reality in the morning!

It was a blast and I am home safely too. Debbie did a great job driving and I had a great time (despite a bout of bad pain in my side that is still there today). It is almost 9 pm here and it took me awhile to find something to eat, unpack a bit, put up a load of laundry, and get through the pile of mail and the list of phone messages.

When there is no exhaust fan in the "water closet", you have to improvise with a match...LOL! See, Debbie, we can still learn something every day. My "fountain pen" is already on my desk, Karen. The family got a kick out of it since they know the story of my bizarre dream and actions. It was great to meet Patty and have so many laughs. When do we go away again?

I am off to bed in a few since I just don't feel that great. New start tomorrow and I have to remember to start my prep for the nuclear stress test.

See you then...
Gracie

Wait what did you hear? I didn't give anyone trouble, honest! If I did I sure don't remember! I might have passed a comment or two about darn fitness people or certain way people dress but I kept that to our general group. No outsider was harmed during this event!
