My Bill is 51 and last year he was pretty quiet about it too. He did not want any sort of party so it was low key for us as well. Nice dinner as a family just like we do with each persons birthday. I honestly can not tell you what I bought him since he has so much stuff already. He tends to buy things he wants or needs and his wants list is never anything extravegent. Deb follow your heart, make a nice dinner for two that will lead into the nice weekend away. Sounds like that is more then enough. Does he have a special desert that he enjoys? Maybe get that for him. Sorry not much help. About the way he acts the last few weeks. I don't think it is any different for a guy verses us gals. When we hit a certain point in our age we reflect back and worry about the future. I think it will pass, Bill's did. Although sometimes I see a tiny bit of the male menopause thing still going on. Good luck!
