Good morning everyone and Happy Columbus Day. The day we set aside to celebrate yet another man who wouldn't stop and ask for directions. Nancy, I saw where in your state it's not called Columbus Day ,is that right?

So what's waiting for you to discover about

Good morning Princess.

Good Morning,
Looking like it's a bit on the gray side this morning. But the weather may be gray outside but I'm sunny on the inside knowing that it's a day off from work!
Yesterday didn't turn out exactly as planned. After grocery shopping DD and I headed to the nail salon-me for a manicure and DD for a pedicure. We then headed to the Italian grocery for some bread to go along with dinner and some pulled pork for lunch. We came back to the house and noticed that the knock down and rebuild of a house around the corner from us was having an open house. Being nosy neighbors we we over to see what this house had to offer for $769,000 and $11,000 in property taxes on a street with house no where near that price. We'll just say we weren't impressed! The layout of the house was weird. The made a lot of the rooms smaller to cram more rooms in and an upstairs room with no door and wondering what the function of that room was supposed to be. And if I'm spending that kind of money I don't want to be able to see into my neighbor's backyard! DD ended up spending the afternoon since the BF was at a car show. We headed to Target and Linens & Things in my quest for a new smaller toaster oven. My kitchen counter is already overcrowded and I was hoping to find something smaller. I found something in Target but couldn't quite convince myself on the price. So the quest goes on. DD and BF were here for dinner and after they left even though it was an easy going day I did end up collapsing in the chair.
Today DD and I are headed out shopping. Not sure for what although I would like to try to find a pair of flat boots to wear under skirts. I still have a gift card from my birthday so I'm hoping I can utilize that for the purchase.
Before I do that I need to get some form of exercise in. I had my "little girl" jeans on yesterday since everything else was in the washer. I wiggled myself into them but after having them on all day it was certainly a wake up call that I need to do something about the ever expanding mid section. I can't quite decide whether to toss the said jeans or use them as my target jeans which could end up as target practice!
Margo-it was good to see a post from you. I can see you're as busy as ever at work.
Margie-thinking about you and hoping all is well.
That's about it from my neck of the woods. I'm going upstairs and changing into workout clothes before DD appears and wants to know if I'm ready to shop!
Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!
Susan
Patty, your comment about Columbus and directions made me laugh out loud. Once again I'm thinking you should be writing a column for the local paper, at the very least.
Well, my sister and BIL are back among the living, but not totally well. At least he is up and able to move around, and she has been able to get out the last few days in spite of coughing. We went to the dr. to get a different antibiotic and a chest x-ray. Also, her blood pressure is high. Of course, I haven't been able to be out since Friday evening until we went to Lauren's house for a cookout yesterday. Even then I had to wear a hat in the car for protection from sunlight coming through the windows and had to stay inside once I got there.
My face looks as though I have on a Halloween mask!!! I had no idea it would look like this. When he said "some redness", I thought he meant like a sunburn. This is like I fell asleep under the sun lamp and burned my skin to a crisp now that it's had a few days to dry out. Also, I thought he was just going to do my nose area, but I got lucky and he did my whole face for the same price!!! I have to keep Aquaphor on it all the time and put compresses of vinegar water on it 4 to 8 times a day. Not allowed to put any make-up on, so you can imagine how mortified I am about having to travel like this!! Imagine how mortified people are going to be when they see me. I could say I have poison ivy and maybe get a whole row of seats to myself!! ;-) Parts are bright red, some are brownish, some are normal, some light red. Pretty scary... I'll look early for Halloween. We're going to stop by

Good morning... The sun has left us and we are now experiencing a dreary cooler day.

Rhonda, I almost had some little bumps removed from my face right before a fancy gala.
Does anyone one else want to join me and set a goal for the week?

I saw today on GMA that even 10 minutes is good. It was Gail King tauting Oprahs new happiness book. So...don't worry about how much you do...just do!
I need daylight to exercise too. I do much better in the morning before eating anything.
Boring can be good...Good luck with the new tills....see what happens when things are changed?

Happy Columbus Day to all too! I am going to discover whether I can exercise even with going to NC for a visit. I started out the week ok even with the pain. The cardio fusion class I took was great and then teaching the seniors afterwards was very rewarding. Should have more days like that! Now if I set my mind to do the exercise, I can do it, because Patty said so.
Yes, side is still bad and yesterday was a very bad day. I ended up keeping the couch warm all day since I was very OFF. I did have a CTScan Jazzerdeb...showed moderate diverticulosis...no inflamation. Just one of those lucky ones that the pain can last for months and months and I do believe the Red Yeast Rice aggravated it again. It will not stop me...
Still feeling good about the good results of the nuclear stress test. I can now relax for the holidays especially if we go to the Outer Banks again.
My brain ran dry already. DD is here. DIL went to the movies with
