Well it is that time again when we do our daily check in! So what did everyone do today? Did you get lots of stuff done or did you take a midafternoon nap? Was your weather chilly or warm, dry or wet, windy or calm?

I never got to turn the computer on this morning. Got up with Bill early and we headed to Lowes and Home Depot around 8:30. We stopped at the 7/11 and grabbed our morning coffee/tea for the road! At Lowes we bought some storage bins for some of Bill's house hold projects (he buys some stuff more then once because he can never remember where he puts it when he finishes a project. So we bought 3 medium size Rubbermaid bins and he plans on marking them electric, painting and misc). We bought the moldings to put under the windows, some knobs for the pull out drawers and we looked at fans but did not buy one. We need one that mounts flush to the ceiling and Lowes did not have what we needed. So over to Home Depot where we found nicer knobs for the drawers (brushed nickle finish with glass, really old looking), then we found a new ceiling fan,

Where did the weekend go? It seems like I need to recuperate from the work week on Saturday and then don't fully recuperate until Sunday and then it's time to start all over again.

Got the grocery shopping done this morning and can't quite figure out what cost me the amount of money that I spent since it's really only DH and I here. I buy a few things for DS like his cereal and his must have Double Stuff EL Fudges but wowzers the tab and I looked in the cart and couldn't quite figure it out!

Had my mani/pedi and my toenails are done in a rosy pink called "Forever Young" how appropriate and my nails in "Tranquilty" since I felt like I need some this morning. I sat and read some this afternoon and really wanted to sit and read again but never got the opportunity. I spent a lot of time in the kitchen this afternoon being the domestic goddess and have to say all the end results were really good if I do say so myself. Otto and I went for a late afternoon walk and it was just a beautiful day here. Beautiful blue skies and a nice temperature that you just needed a light jacket or sweatshirt to be comfortable.

DD and BF just left a few minutes ago and we ended up playing a couple of rounds of Boggle. DD is really good at any type of word games and I really should know better than play against her and having any thoughts of winning.

I never did finish the laundry or do my filing. In fact my bills aren't paid either. Before I go sit anywhere else I need to take care of that.

Deb-love the hardware and the ceiling fan. The upstairs bedroom fan when and if I ever take the room over needs to be replaced and that's kind of the look I want up there. Glad to hear that the kitchen is coming along. So when are we all invited for the first dinner? :)!

Lori-hope everything is OK with your dad.

I guess I'd better get at the checkbook and get that taken care of. Hope you've all had a good day!

Lori...I do hope your Dad is ok. So sorry to hear that he might have had a stroke and the medicine is causing side effects. I will keep him in my prayers.

My weekend and the few days before flew by for me too! Seems like I barely had time to unpack from my trip and get to the gym for some exercise. Today was a houseful of family and getting dinner ready for all and the day was over. I seem to get overwhelmed lately with the amount of people here. Being tired from yesterday did not help at all.

I did go to the Zumba workshop yesterday. I ended up going by myself since my girlfriend couldn't go because her Dad was in the hospital. He had a bad side effect to coumidin and got "purple toe" syndrome which ended up with him having a blood clot and surgery to remove it and 3 toes. Anyway, I went to mapquest for directions and saw Fairfield CT was a little less than 2 hours away, so I went for it. Got up at 4:30 even though I was awake from 3 a.m. and got to Fairfield in less than an hour and a half and had almost 2 hours to kill before the workshop started. I am so glad I went...it was a BLAST and I can't wait to teach Zumba. Of course I will need about 3 months to practice and get ready, but at least I am already group fitness certified so I can teach as soon as I am ready. Tanya Beardsley was great and I am glad I was able to take it with her.

Got home around 8:30 and didn't realize how stiff I got with the over 2 hour trip home because of wind and rain. I practically fell getting out of my car in front of the house because my legs wouldn't work right. I am getting way too old to do all day things like that.

So...I am off to bed in few since I still need to catch up on sleep. I want to join the challenge and I will start with extra exercise tomorrow. I want to have a better body when I teach Zumba.

Promise to be back on a regular basis. I realized I beat some personal fears. I drove by myself on a fairly long trip...first time since the M.I. and I participated in something new with a lot of strangers. Now to conquer Zumba...
