the coming week. So what kind of day did you have? Was your weekend what you had hoped for? Any new goals this week for the challenge? Sticking to the same ones? Trying something different or sticking to what you know best?

I am actually going to say goodnight to everyone. My stomach hurts and I think the weekend caught up to me finally. It was a busy day around here with kitchen work, catch up on laundry, cooking a meal and clean up. Aunt flo is not helping either. I helped Bill with hanging some moldings and painting, then we did the fan/light, spot light, moved the table back into the kitchen, did some laundry and then cooked a roast beef dinner. It took me 20 minutes to figure out how to turn the oven on the regular way not the convection way. The stove part is easy, lol. It's going to take a while to read through the book and play with the buttons and knobs. Everything is electronic. The dishwasher was a bit of a challenge too. Had to really think about how to load the dishes, I guess with practice I will figure out what works best. The refrigerator was fun, moving shelves and arranging things. Katie helped me with the refrigerator and freezer. I ran to the grocery store for a few things and then home. Dinner was a nice roast beef with gravey, red skinned garlic potatoes, broccoli and corn. It was Bill and I with Katie and Rob and Stacy (Robs girl friend) and Keith (Robs friend) so it was a full table tonight, lol. Everything has been cleaned up and loaded, dishwasher is running, the counters cleaned and the new applainces wiped off. Bill has some coffee and an apple cider donut from Stew Leanords in CT and he is watching his drag racing, Katie is in bed, Rob went out and Billy is home with his girl friend watching TV in his room. I have to say that I did not follow WW and I need to rejoin this coming Friday but this week I have some new goals to follow:

I will weigh myself this Monday morning and I will get up and walk since we have the day light. I will push myself to go to bed this week no later then 10:30 so that I can get up around 6:00. I want to walk at least 3 days and if I do not get up early and walk I will bring my sneakers to work and walk at lunch time with my co-worker. I will start fresh this Monday on my WW points too and drink my water. I think part of my problem is lack of sleep, I think my body is telling me it needs more of it.

It's been a rather slow paced day around here although a bit on the noisy side. Heaven help me with boys with cars and electronic equipment. I was quietly sipping an afternoon cup of coffee while reading my book and yelling started at the Jets game. DS who had an unusual Sunday off from work was upstairs yelling at a Playstation 3 that he was trying to get hooked up to his TV. He ended up bring back to Best Buy bringing home a new one and then more yelling-something about HMI something or others not connecting his surround sound system, the TV not reading the Blue Ray player. I was afraid to ask after that whether everything was alright. I felt bad for his GF who was here for the day. I offered for her to come hang out with me if it all got too much for her. We both questioned him about his anger management issues and we get "what-me anger management issues?". I also had the runaway dog. Apparently DH forgot that Otto was outside when he left the gate open to take out the garbage. Otto apparently seeing the opportunity to escape to the neighbors yard did just that. But fortunately the shaking of the treat jar made him come running back. I'm just glad that he doesn't decide to run any further than next door.

I never did get out for my walk. I was busy making something in the kitchen to put more calories in than going out for a walk and burning off calories and I really did enjoy just sitting and reading this afternoon. Otto and I did get out into the late afternoon sun for a much needed walk for the two of us.

Spoke to DD this afternoon. She seems a bit better today and is actually glad she's headed out on a business trip to Vancouver this week. Usually she doesn't look forward to these trips but she thinks this will be better to distance herself this week.

I think my goals will pretty much be the same as last week. I fell short on most of them this week so practice makes perfect and try try again!

Time to head to bed-hard to believe that the weekend is over once again and the work week is looming ahead. Pleasant dreams everyone!

Susan
