Patty, I'm so happy for you that your flock did so well and that Ryan is excited about his move and his new job. I missed where he moved and what his new job is.
Nancy, sure hope you and your corn are spared all that snow. Glad your sunflowers got finished. I think they're so pretty and love the seeds, but so do the squirrels around here, so I can't grow them. Take care on those icy roads.
I'm going to the nursing home this morning to hear the singer we like so much. He called me Monday and talked about an hour to see how I'm doing. I thought that was awfully nice of him. I'm finally able to talk on the phone some even when I don't have to. I do have an approximately 20 minute call coming up this evening with the processor for the insurance policy. Prior to that I have a meeting with my new pastor at 4. I'm taking about 25 polo shirts, a bunch of shorts, and a bag of socks to donate to the nursing home today. I'll take more stuff another time.
I did go to the shag club meeting last night and danced some. Several people either have colds or are feeling as though they're coming down with one, so I was washing my hands a lot trying to prevent getting one.
I filled out an online application at home for Home Depot, hoping I can get into kitchen and bath design. I had forgotten that in 1991 I won the Parade of Homes awards for Best Kitchen and Best Master Bathroom. I did put that on there, so maybe that will help. I worked residential only about 2 years. The rest was commercial work, but I did do a lot of millwork design. I had a counseling appt. again yesterday too. I'm working on my soul and brain a lot to try to keep up the health of my body, as well.
Rob was on a search and rescue mission (SAR) the other night where 2 people in a boat had hit a seawall head on. Both were fatalities and
Rainy, windy and nasty looking day outside. Nancy, I do hope the weather cooperates and the snow doesn't come your way. It's hard for me to imagine that much snow at the beginning of November. But that's what comes from having spent my whole life in this neck of the woods!
Off to work in a few minutes. It's been a long week at work. It's been hard to stay awake in the evening and although I'm still waking up at an indecent hour I've been falling into those deep sleeps right before it's time to get up and then it's just hard to drag myself out of bed.
Not sure the weather will cooperate for Otto and I to get out walking. In any event I do hope to get myself to the basement for some type of workout. The plan in my head is for a weight workout-I'll have to see if that plan is still there later in the day.
Thankful for my fuzzy comfy slippers and equally comfy after work clothes. Thankful for kitchen gadgets. Thankful for my home and family and all you lovely ladies, a short commute to work and my car that takes me here, there and everywhere.
It's quite a morning here weatherwise.. It was cloudy and gray when I got up, then it rained and then it really RAINED... Now it's getting colder... But then I saw the sun.. Strange weather... I puttered the morning away and still haven't ate a thing. I just am not hungry.
Good morning everyone. I think I'm taking today
