Another gray and gloomy day here. Not sure when the sun is supposed to make an appearance but I hope its soon.
Nancy-glad to hear that the damage to your crops was minimal. What a nice neighborhood your DD lives in!
Lori-glad to hear that the city council has backed off with the dog issue.
Karen-hope all the issues work out. Sounds like a lot to deal with.
As with the weather I'm feeling a bit gray and gloomy. I can't blame it on Flo anymore...just me. I stepped on the scale this morning and I just wasn't happy, again can't blame it on anyone but me. Another box has appeared in my living room which I was assured that would be gone last night. It's not so much the box but more knowing that he's brought yet more stuff into the house. If he finds something at work that's going to be tossed home it comes to a house with already more stuff than we have room for. It's just so frustrating.
So what's up for your Saturday? Probably just a day of cleaning around here and trying to get caught up with things. I tend to just get caught up on things and never really accomplishing much else. DH once again failed to clean the bathroom on Tuesday and my kitchen floor is in desperate need of washing so those are the two must dos for today. Salads and exercise? That should be on the must do list as well considering what I've injested over the past few days although the next option sounds much better. Donuts and naps? A balance of both? Maybe I'll opt for this one.
Probably my best course of action would be to snap out of the funk and move on. It's the weekend and I'm glad of it and need to make the most of it since they're always way too short. Workout clothes and sneakers and the treadmill are first on the agenda and then off to conquer dog hair, dust bunnies, grimy bathrooms and sticky kitchen floors. Please tell me somebody has something way more fun that I can live vicariously through!
Good morning. Have I mentioned I'm in a mood? I need to be back at work!
ChaDeb, any flooding? Deb/MN, no guys around for a few days? Can I come to your place???BNL, hope your DD made it home safe and sound.Lori, how exciting to be signing up for your
Hey my friends it is me!!! Nothing to report just good old fashion busy around here and trying to get everything done. Sorry being on the computer took last place. I managed to get to my emails a few times but that was as far as I got.........would you all like to know what my week has been like?
Monday was Billy's birthday and my baby turned 24. We normally go out to dinner on the special persons birthday but Bill was sick so Billy asked to postpone it till Tuesday night. Bill came down with the sniffles on Sunday and he had us both awake half the night. I had to ask Billy to run the shop and Bill took a sick day. In 20 something years together he has only done that maybe 5 times. So he spent the morning in bed sleeping followed by dozing on the couch in front of the fire place in the afternoon. My lunch hour was spent making the man chicken soup and tea. Add a crazy work day into the mixture and I was exhausted by 7:00 pm.
Tuesday morning Bill was feeling better and he took Katie to school and then headed into the shop. Well Billy got up and took his shower and then said he wanted to talk to me! Oh no! He dropped a bit of a surprise on his dear mother. It seems he has been thinking of moving out. Yeppers, he is moving out. Found a studio apartment a few towns over and he put a deposit down. Told me which made me cry...........but I understood completely. Telling his dear dad would be interesting. Though the day I waited, but each time Billy tried to tell his dad someone or something got in the way. So he stayed after work and let him know. Bill took it pretty well despite what I though he would say. We went out to dinner and our discussion was around the moving and Rob claiming Bill's room, lol. It seems that Bill had made this choice earlier last week but was working up the nerve to tell us. He already had purchased his dishes, glasses, etc..... Oh lets not forget I had to work till 5, go vote, and take Katie to the barn so she could ride too. All on top of the dinner out!
Wednesday was just a busy day at my office with not extra time for me. Thursday was the same except I was out of there by 3:00. Off to the barn from there to return home after 6:30. I was in that funk you ladies described too. I guess between my hormones (Aunt Flo was finishing up with me), my sons news, the stress of work, the messy house I kind of lost my cool with the family. Bill could not understand why I was being nasty as he kindly put it. Several comments about getting help around here, unfinished projects, cats urinating on carpets........well you get the idea. All in this mix my youngest sister NOT having this baby yet. Yes no baby yet. Her husband is home with her and nothing.......nothing at all. Her due date was 11/2 and no activity. She even went to Pilates 3 times this week and did the elliptical for 25 minutes each day. Have I mentioned I dislike fitness people, lol?
Friday my day off........was spent doing 6 batches of laundry, ironing, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, shopping at Target (bought Billy all the stuff he needs for his new bathroom, I spent over $120 stuff is expensive!) and then dinner out. I rejoined WW again and I am back in the loop, lol. I got a 40 minute walk in which felt great. I went in a different direction and walked to the next town, lol. Made it feel exciting so those who need to live through me can. I was living on the edge yesterday! Oh we had
