Good Afternoon,

I really enjoyed your post this morning Miss P.

Sure is quiet around here today. The temperature has dropped from the unseasonable temperatures of the past few days. It had started out as a sunny day, but the gray skies have appeared, a strong wind is blowing and not a nice day weather wise once again.

I had come down early this morning to the computer but younger DD called and we were on the phone for quite some time. They're closing on their new house the day before Thanksgiving so we were talking about that some. I'm trying to figure out when I can get up there to check the new place out. Sure wish I was a little closer. We were also looking at David's Bridal for dresses. These are a few that she liked.

I've been to the grocery store and done my weekly thing of restocking. They had a group of college kids collecting groceries for one of the local food banks. I made a bag up out of things that were needed from their suggested list and dropped it off on my way out. They had gathered two shopping baskets by the time I left.

A trip to the nail salon for a piggie and nail painting. I love the color of my toes. It's a color called Brick Oven-a sort of burnt orange red very fall looking.

I made a batch of delicious Pumpkin cranberry muffins this morning. They're freezable so I may stash some in the freezer. The day is feeling like I need to made something fallish for dessert. With my lack of exercise I probably should stay out of the kitchen! I'm trying out gnocchi with turkey ragu for dinner this evening. I really do love Cooking Light magazine.

I had thought of taking a walk outside today but it's much nicer inside! I will have to bundle up later though and get Otto out for a walk. He hasn't been out since Wednesday so I'm sure he has cabin fever. I love to see him sitting outside in his Kingly way and watch his ears blowing in the wind.

Deb/MN hope everything is Ok with Trevor. We always worry-we're just pre-programmed!

Nancy-hope your enjoying the weekend with DD.

Hope you're all enjoying your Sunday!

DH isn't a hunter. He's a target shooter. Loves to put holes in papers as he says. But his former boss and friends of his hunted, both bow and shotgun and they would get together once a year for a venison pot luck for lack of a better word. They would make steaks and chops, stews and chili. One year DH was given some to bring home to try-or rather for me to try. I made a stew and was afraid the kids would freak out a bit and refuse to try it, so being ever so subtle I kept asking them how it was and if was better than stew I usually made. They all agreed that it was really good. I finally told them after dinner and they reacted much better than I thought they would. I have had it when it was overcooked and it is rather like eating the bottom of your shoe!
