Good morning everyone. Dad had a setback on Thursday and is still in the hospital. He's on a feeding tube right now but we're hopeful it can be removed Sunday and that he will be able to eat on his own after that. Lots of ups and downs and just

Good Morning,

Looks like a nice Saturday morning. I can't say that I've ventured out this morning except early this morning to move my car.

We had a nice Thanksgiving. It was a first for us with no guests so it seemed a bit strange. DS went out early to play football with some of the people from work. We pretty much stayed in our pjs and sweat pants all day. The only time I got dressed was to take Otto out for a mid afternoon walk. There was a bit of a heated discussion between younger DD and DS midafternoon. They apologized to each other but it did put a little bit of a damper on the afternoon. By evening though we were engrossed in a game called Apples to Apples and that seemed to break the tension between the two of them.

DD and I engaged in our Black Friday shopping adventures. We get there a bit after the opening and the areas of the store that are crowded with the real early birds we avoid until later in the day. DD decided to head back to MA early yesterday afternoon. Even though she said she didn't want to go back I could tell that she was sort of anxious to help with the move and begin unpacking. Other DD had left in the morning to go back to the apartment. So after having everyone around it was back to a very quiet house. I will admit it left me feeling sort of sad. DD is entering into a new phase of her life and I felt a kind of emptiness that I'm not there to be part of it. Other DD will soon be entering into a new phase of her life and although there's wedding planning most of that is being done by them. I just feel like I'm in kind of a limbo at the moment and not sure what to do with myself.

I did get in my time on the treadmill this morning. I found myself back to eating too much and not exercising and it's affecting every part of me so I have to dig deep and keep myself on the right road.

The house is a disaster. DH told me to leave the rest of the Thanksgiving clean up to him for yesterday. The dishes were done and he scrubbed down the stove but apparently living here he hasn't quite figured out where certain things go so I have a stack of pots and pans to get put away. Laundry is ever mounting back up to mountain size and just general clean up around here. I thought about going out and doing some Christmas shopping but probably just going to stick close to home.

Rhonda-good to see a post from you. I'm glad that you're able to be surrounded by your family and that you're getting out and doing something you enjoy to help you get through this difficult time.

Margie-hope you're feeling better!

Well better hop into the shower and try to get something done before the day gets away from me.

Hope you all enjoy your Saturday.
