The hardwoods are done, and they were right.

Did you do a dumb thing, no way! You did a good thing. Kittens are small. Stretch it to the 11th and just confine them to one room for the first few days. Is one of your extra bedrooms available? Put their food and liter box in that room and keep the door shut. At least for the first day or two. This way you can go into them and visit and they can get to know you better without disappearing. Maybe your bedroom? I thought I read originally introducing a cat is better if its one room first. I do not think the cats paws will make a difference on the floor but I would just leave the stuff where it is until you can replace the carpets, why move the stuff twice? Good luck! What do the kittens look like?

Hi Deb...the smell is pretty much gone today...and the lady that coordinates the remodel (oops I had a typo!) said the fix to the floors should be easy.

Do youself a favor and just set up two cat boxes, one on each side of the room this way they have their own space, lol. But they will probley be fine. Are you getting them declawed? Both our cats are declawed and many people are so against it but I was afraid of what they were going to do to my furniture. I would keep them on one room just until you get your place put back together. Have fun with them! Send us a picture when they get home. Are they males or females or one of each?

We've always had our cats declawed, the last being done in 1993 and things have changed.
