Hello ladies, I was here this morning for a bit but never had the chance to actually post. Let me back up a little...Friday I was off and cleaned and did some light Christmas shopping. My main goal shopping on Friday was a long black skirt and a white blouse for Katie's Christmas concert which is this coming Thursday. Found what I needed plus a few other items........so I have offically started my Christmas shopping, lol. Robbie took all the Christmas boxes and bins out of the basement for me, which was a huge help since our basement is only 4ft tall. While I was gone a friend's brother came over to work on my computer. The young man was here from 12 to 5, got rid of some junk, cleaned out unwanted programs, deleted Rob, Katie and Billy's programs since they all have their own lap tops and no reason for them to use this computer anylonger, fixed some virus stuff and it seems I can post again!!! MIL had surgery on Friday morning. She went back into the hospital in NYC. They redid the cath in her leg/groin area to try and unblock some more arteries that were giving her trouble and causing her such leg pain when she walked. They put two additional stents in and did lots of poking. They kept her in the hospital overnight because of the poking and additional bleeding she had. She came hom Saturday and is doing alright but not great. This knocked her a bit and she forgets she is close to 74 now and retired. On Saturday Katie and I headed up to CT to visit with my sister and the baby. We so totally enjoyed our time in CT with them. He is so cute and beautiful although he is giving her a hard time about gaining weight. I should have such problems. It has her worried and concerned. They take him back to the doctor tomorrow for another weight check. He is a sleepy and calm little guy who falls asleep while she tries to nurse him. He has her fustrated but other then that he is so perfect. She is just such a great mommy to him. Katie was all over him and was holding him like she been doing it for years. We really had to force ourselves to leave Sunday night. While we were gone Bill was busy with yard work and kept very busy. He spent some time on Saturday and Sunday checking on his mom which was good. Sunday he pulled out all our outside decorations and hung up the lights, bows, and wreaths. Today was back to work as usual. It sure got cold her, low 20's this morning. Work was busy and the day actually flew by. At lunch time I took a ride to MIL's to check on her and bring her a protien shake from the health food store since she is weak and could use the protien. After Bill picked Katie up at school he dropped her off at his moms and she kept her Nanna company until my FIL got home from work and I picked her up. Right upstairs to her to finish homework and I got making dinner. Baked some chicken with brown rice and broccoli and then changed into my sweats. I planned on going on the eliptical machine but the Christmas boxes were surrounding it and I needed to organize. So instead I took out a few decorations and started to place them in spots around the house. I have lots to do in the next few days. Well Katie is upstairs getting ready to turn the lights out, Rob is still in school and should be home shortly, Bill is drinking his coffee and enjoying an apple cider donut from Stew Leorards from CT and me well I am going to head upstairs in a few and get under the covers. I am beat and well chilly too. Nancy mentioned reading but after reading the board and all day at work my eyes are shot. I hope you all have a good night and I am sorry I have not posted much. I will try harder.
It was a busy day at work and that helped make the day pass by quickly. I came home and made tacos for dinner. Otto and I headed out for our walk after dinner. Although it was cold it was wasn't like yesterday with that wind kicking up. It was actually a rather enjoyable night and I was bundled up nice and snug in the big yellow jacket. Otto was feeling rather energetic and took the longer route and we walked most of the walk at a decent pace.
I came home with the intention of heading to the basement but realized being home by myself that Otto would be looking to go in and out of the house as he does every evening. So instead of exercising I ended up giving the kitchen a good clean up and washing the kitchen floor.
I've spent most of the rest of the evening with my nose in a book that I took out of the library on Friday and have been totally engrossed in it to the point where I'm almost done with it.
It is however time to call it a day. Good night everyone!
I think I'll check in so that I can grab my book and sit and read for a
