Good morning everyone. Deb/MN, hope your evening went well. Loved the image of the dogs bringing their toys back out. LOL Karen, what a day for you! Hope DS makes it home

Good morning everyone. We're getting our tree today. Finally! It never feels like Christmas until I have my tree in the house. Other than that it's run uptown for a few things DH needs and CL

Good Afternoon,
After several days of bundling up we're back to more spring like temperatures and tomorrow going up into the 60's. Quite a difference from Nancy and Karen's weather!
We had a nice morning here. We decided that today would be tree day since DS doesn't have to be into work until 11. DD came by about 8 and I made some pancakes with bacon and some diced apples in the microwave sprinkled with cinnamon and brown sugar. I got the Christmas dishes out and put our napkins into my little Santa napkins holders. It sort of set the mood for the day.
We headed out shortly after breakfast and headed to the local garden center for our tree selection. DS is very fussy about which tree. So as each tree was picked up and twirled around to see if the tree mister as we call him found it acceptable or whether he needed to move on. I found the perfect tree and home it came with us. It's now sitting in it's stand and DD will be by later to help me decorate it. You'll notice that DS only participates in the selection of the perfect tree and not the decorating of same.
After the tree was put in place I headed out the grocery store. I ended up with a list for DD as well. A quick drop off of groceries and putting them away I ran to the nail salon for a manicure.
I'm now home and a cup of coffee has my name all over it and I think I'll sit and read for a while before DD gets here.
Hopefully the tree will get decorated so that I can head out with Otto for a walk. Making a pizza for dinner this evening that will be quick and easy.
Karen and Nancy hope you're all warm and cozy with those temperatures. Safe travels for your DS Karen. Deb/MN glad your party went well last night. Otto never puts his toys away! He doesn't play with them. He instead grabs one to welcome he home and lead me to his food dish where it's promptly left wherever it dropped. Patty-glad to hear that you met the GF. All the family in one meeting? Wow brave girl!
Hope you all are enjoying a great day!
Susan
