Thank you all for your response. I go to the gym 4 times per week. For cardio I use the stairmaster, the elliptical machine or stationary bike--or any combination of the three of them, for 10 minutes each = 30 minutes. Then I use the weight machines for toning. I am not the super-fit kind of person, I just workout constantly at my own pace. I guess it would be a good idea to increase the cardio time from 30 min. to 45 minutes to one hour to lose those stubborn 10 pounds. And AVOID pastries. ahrrrrg.

I was born and still live in Puerto Rico, a Caribbean island. The weather is hot most of the year, but the temperatures drop a bit during "winter". I put winter between quotes because we do not have seasons per se here.
