I think I should tell about DH's day instead of mine because his has been 'one of those' days.

Nancy, sorry to hear about DH's day. Glad he wasn't hurt. Hope the pickup isn't too badly damaged. Those deer sure can do some damage.

My day was physically and mentally exhausting. My boss has been out for the past 3 days with a bad back and even with him being afar he managed to irritate the life out of me. Apparently I couldn't read his mind as to what to pack up into his briefcase that was toted over to his house. An hour later he's all sweet...so the mood wheel spins...must have been about the time his drugs kicked in. The phones never stopped ringing, I haven't felt right all day and I guess you'd say it's been one of those days.

Otto and I did take a walk although it was kind of damp and yucky but it still felt good be get outside for a few minutes. I opted out of exercising this evening. I did get some Christmas cards done although I'm hoping that the right cards got in the right envelope. I was getting kind of sleepy. Apparently at some point I feel asleep in the chair. Dh was calling me and when I didn't respond he had to come and see if I was alright. Never heard him.

That's about all the tales I've got to tell for the day. Sleep tight everyone.

Can I vent some more? After my lunch time post it was back to work. Boss had a Christmas party to attend and left at 1:00 but came back around 3:30. Poor man needed to take a nap in his back office since I guess the liquid lunch caught up. This is around the time I got a little angry and I do not know what to do. Just bare with me here.........I work with two other ladies, great ladies and I love them but.........#1 coworker is part time 3 days a week (all day), she has been with my boss for 20+ years and now stays home 2 days to care for her grandson. #2 coworker is full time (gets paid for 40 hours), She has been with my boss for 6 years, she is a single mom who lives with her sister & BIL. She has two kids, one DD out of control and a DS who is a good kid but typical 6th grader. Anyhow last month #2 decides she is going to take the Wednesday off before Thanksgiving to go down to Maryland to spend the holiday with exhusbands family and their kids. #1 does not work on Wednesday and can not change her plans. Deb alone for the day! Last Thursday #2 decides she is taking the day off to take her friend to her holistic doctor for a check up. She is out the entire day. Push ahead to this week...........Monday it is myself and #2, turns out that she has to leave at 2:30 to head to the oral surgeon for a tooth extraction. Deb alone the rest of the day. Tuesday morning #1 calls me at 8:30 to say.......she is sick and won't be coming in, get to the office to discover #2 aint coming in because her mouth hurts so bad and the docs gave her these pain killers and she is loopy. Can you see the steam coming out of my ears? Well boss called #1 and asked if there was anyway she could make it in. Which she did but she did not arrive until 11:00. Now Wednesday #2 shows up at 9:20 and then leaves at 3:40????? She has been coming in around 9:20 most morning because she hits traffic and has been leaving around 3:00 because she needs to be home for her son. She "used" to take work home years ago when we were busy but we aint that busy anymore. Our boss does not say anything to #2 yet if I am 10 minutes late I get the lecture about being on time. You ladies know what I do everymorning before I head out the door, yet it does not make a difference. Nor does my boss recongize the days I work through lunch hour or stay until 5:30. Argh!!!!! So that was my afternoon. Bill knew I was upset and I told him after the holidays I need to have a pow-wow with boss. He talks about closing down the doors because business is slower then usual so I guess I really need to start thinking of other alternatives. We ate left over pork roast last night and Bill sat with me in the kitchen and "together" did Christmas cars. I wrote, he licked & stamped, lol. He is mailing them out today. It was 10:30 before I realized I had just put the pen down and my eyes were really blurry then.
