Good morning everyone! Has anyone ever gone on an old fashioned sleigh ride? I'd love to do that. If I had a sleigh now I'd head to Susan's for her cookies and to Nancy's for pumpkin pie!!
I hope the weather is cooperating with everyones plans. What are

Good morning Patty.

Good Morning,
I think an old fashioned sleigh ride would be fun or we could hook up Bob and Otto and see where they lead us :)! I do have some Winter spice coffee and Gingerbread tea to go with the cookies and you can sing all you want. Bring your sister and mom along and we'll do duets!
DH cleaned off my car last night and moved it for me but it obviously must have snowed some more during the night since my car is covered again. We do have some flurries coming down from the sky and I know they're predicting more snow for today as well as tomorrow and then rain and wind...sounds like fun! I had my morning call from DD in MA and they've had about 8 inches of snow. I'm sure they would enjoy that!
DD is headed over this morning for more cookie baking and she'll be making some candy. Patty I'll turn up the stereo real loud so maybe you'll hear some new tunes to sing to on your trip today!
So it's basically another good day to hunker down here at the homestead. I still haven't touched my wrapping and it's spread out all over DD's room. I think I'd better get upstairs and do something about that situation since she's spending the night here. Wouldn't want her to find out Santa visited early.
Headed upstairs now to make my Chocolate Crinkles. They have to sit in the refrigerator for a number of hours so that will be my last baking project of the day.
Nancy-safe travels today and enjoy your Christmas celebration with your family. Patty-happy singing!
Hope everyone has a special Saturday!
Susan
It sounds like everyone is out and on the move this morning. Having a game plan or list makes all the difference to me. If I have something special in mind it makes life a little easier then wondering around not knowing which direction to go. After my day trip yesterday I organized Billy's old room and pulled out more decorations. Katie helped me wrap garland around the banister to go upstairs, we put 3 houses up on top of my computer desk here with green roping, we put more green roping with lights and candles on top of the fireplace mantle and hung the Christmas stocking. I managed to run the vacuum through the house, made soup and chili and the only thing left inside to decorate is my back bay window that Bill said he would do either tonight or tomorrow. I have all my purchases under a blanket in the corner of my room that needs to be wrapped and an updated list for the next few days.
Bill and I started out our morning with our quiet cup of coffee/tea and discussed a game plan. He is heading out to the east end of LI and on his way back he will stop and buy the gift card we need for his dad and the Red Wing Boots we wanted to buy for Billy. I will be heading in the opposite direction with stopping at Target, Bob Stores and NY & Company. It is still snowing so my SUV will remain in 4X4 and I will go slowly. I will be placing my grocery order in a few minutes using Peapod with hopes they can deliver Monday after work. I will still need a few things like more Filet Migon and a turkey breast from the butcher but that is an easy stop. I feel better after talking with Bill and going over my list. Not so paniced today.
I sure hope you all have a safe day out there as you finish your chores for the holidays. Stay warm and dry.
