Well it's hardly Sunday morning anymore in fact it's working on Sunday evening. The first time I've had a chance to sit at the computer. It's been another jam packed day of activity. Not exactly what I had in mind but that's the way it worked out.

We had heavy rain this morning turning the snow into giant puddles and the streets in our neighborhood don't drain well with any type of heavy rain never mind the snow clogging the street drains. Crossing the street amounts to figuring your going to end up in ankle high water and of course not having a pair of boots makes for very wet feet! We're expecting the temperatures to fall back down this evening so whatever is wet on the ground tonight is going to freeze over and then by Christmas it's supposed to be around 50.

DD and I ventured out to the grocery store this morning. We got home and I then traveled up to the nail salon to have my nails filed and a clear coat put on them. I figured with all the things going on this week that was my best option.

The afternoon was spent helping DD with her baking adventures and a few more of my own. I started off on the wrong note in the kitchen this morning with leaving an egg out of my chocolate crinkles but discovered it while it still wasn't too late to put it in. I did make another bar cookie and some applesauce raisin cookies. I also made my marinara sauce for Christmas Eve and DD cut up the celery and has it "cooking" with my roasted peppers. I have my dishwasher running and washed up the rest of the dishes so I figured I would take a break in the action and come down and converse with all of you.

DD up in MA was also baking today. They had about 8" of snow yesterday and were expecting another 6 to 9" today. They have one shovel and the handle went flying off of it. Apparently the BF managed to fix it and were back out there shoveling. I'm sure they'll be very happy when they get a snowblower which DS is surprising them with one for Christmas. An overly generous gift but one I'm sure that will be most appreciated.

I still have wrapping that remains undone so tired or not I'm going to have to tackle that project this evening. DD has offered to help although she openly admits that she's gift wrapping challenged!

Well I'd better get back upstairs and finish cleaning up the mess that remains in my kitchen and figure out what I can throw together for dinner.

Nancy-hope you're feeling better. Hope you've all enjoyed a good day.

Susan
