Lori,

Hope the pipes thaw and you get water back real soon, so you can turn the heat back down and get a little sleep.

Lori when Bill and I got married we owned a mobile home (trailer park) and in the winter we used to wrap the pipes in a special tape that we plugged in. When the temp. dropped the electric would warm the pipes, keeping them from freezing. All our pipes were outside and under the trailer. The first Christmas with Billy we traveled upstate to visit my inlaws when we returned later that day we discovered frozen pipes and a freezing home, we used the hair dryer to melt the pipes. We used to pack the outside area with hay, not sure if it was special hay or regular hay but it helped insulate the area. I guess using the snow for the dogs and flushing works for now, it is better then nothing. I guess at least you have heat, right? Can Jeff get into the crawl space? How large is it like inches or a few feet? Has this happened before? Good luck, I hope you get it fixed.

Lori, like Debbie, my DH and I owned a mobile home for the first three years after we graduated from college.
