Well, I know Patty has been up partying with the chicks all night but what excuse do the rest of you have?

Good Morning Everyone!

I am so pleased with myself because in spite of Internet connection problems here I am on a roll coming to the board two days in a row!

Good morning Margie...Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the Wii... We have been playing around with the game that came with it... It's fun ... The game is sports and it's a little lame but it gives you a feel for the Wii and what it can do.

Hello all, and a belated Merry Christmas. I was overwhelmed with family here all the time and just didn't get a chance to get to the board. I hope you all had a good Christmas. I did see that Margie did very well with her eating, but I am sorry to hear you are sick. Feel better soon, Margie, and I hope your resistance builds up again soon.

I think I am in a coma from Christmas Eve and Christmas with the food I consumed. I went to the gym today to take the 1 1/2 class of cardio and weights and feel a little bit better. Granddaughter is teething and was cranky (polite way of saying she cried a lot) Christmas day and I was actually glad when everyone was gone by 6:30. I feel guilty about that but I was wiped from all the cooking and the chaos with the kids wanting attention. I even decided to serve buffet style to make it easier, but it didn't work. I will have to plan better next year and hope my sleep issues are better by then.

I am now getting ready to leave for Duck, NC tomorrow. Have to pack clothes, linens, food and necessities for the trip. New York Pizza was requested also as well as some seafood. Hopefully, we can fit everything in DD's SUV. We are going together with the baby since her DH (police officer) is working a lot of double shifts and has to sleep when he can. Her car is a little bigger than ours and we are keeping our fingers crossed that we fit everything, including the pack and play, stroller and cooler.

Patty....I don't know how you did all you did Christmas Eve and Christmas, but kudos to you. Hope the chickens appreciate all you did for them.

I have to get packing and do some paper work and laundry and just get myself together. Hopefully, 2009 will have me pack in the swing of things.

Bringing my laptop to NC so I will be checking in. Can't wait to have the 9 hour trip over with an 8 month old and relax.

Bye for now...
Grace

Margie so nice to see a post from you two days in a row. It sounds like you have been through the mill and back yet your attitude amazes me. Kudos to you lady! Christmas Eve day was one to remember that is for sure........and the evening was busy too. We did have a house full and thanks Patty about your comment about my home being "that" kind of place. I hope it is, I try to make everyone welcome. It gets crazy here sometimes but it makes for wonderful memories. Christmas morning was nice having the three kids home. Katie gave Billy her bed and slept on the floor. She developed a cold as the evening wore on and she took some Nyquil which let her sleep in a little. We did our gift exchange around 9:30 which was nice and was followed by some scrambled eggs and left over filet migon. Billy still had the headache but also complained his neck was hurting more. I gave him some Alieve and it seemed to help. He headed home to his place around noon and then headed into his GF parents for the remainder of the day. Rob headed to his GF around 1, it felt weird not having them around. But it was fine, change is good. We had my inlaws and Bill's Aunt/Uncle/Cousin too. It was actually pretty low key and felt good to relax. After they all left Bill, Katie and I headed to Rob's GF's house for cake and coffee. We had such a nice time and we stayed yacking with Stacey's parents until 11:30. Today was totally low key. Aunt Flo showed up 5 days earlier then expected, we cleaned a bit and organized some stuff. Katie and Bill went to the tack shop to exchange a vest we gave her while I remained home and did some laundry, took a hot shower and then headed for the couch for an afternoon of TV time. We just got back from the diner where I had a nice bowl of bisque and a salad. Katie just took her Nyquil and it going to sleep and well Bill just turned our blankets on. Tomorrow we will be heading over to my sisters to celebrate Christmas with my family and sing happy bday to Katie. I get to see my little nephew again which makes me happy. Bill offered to cater some food in, instead of my sisters and myself cooking so that was nice. Well it sounds like everyone had a nice day. Patty despite your having to work in CL sounds like your day/night went well. Hope today was pleasant for everyone too.
