Good Morning,

It's snowing at the moment. They're saying that what is there is supposed to be our accumulation which at the moment is about 1" but the way it looks out there it wouldn't surprise me if it might be one of those "oops we were wrong on the forecast".

The temptation is to hunker down inside the house and stay put. At present I'm debating whether I should just Peapod my grocery list and forego my nail appointment although that is right up the street.

It was another successful declutter and purge day here. It started out with my hall pantry closet which then moved me to the basement closet. There was a lot of stuff in there that needed to be tossed which made me realize that I have to shop with a do I need this and will I use this in mind and not just because something is on sale. I think I'm much better on this but I think with looking at the expiration date on some of these items it was definitely a prethinking that way. I also tossed out old cookie sheets that were in nasty condition and put another box of pans and things that I haven't used in years and I'll give those to my coworker for her flea market. Christmas cookie tins were put in a bin and put with the Christmas stuff and the box of light bulbs that DH swears he couldn't find were located and put in a box marked "LIGHT BULBS". Hopefully the snooping will be kept to a minimum. It then moved on to the refrigerator. I didn't have time to remove the shelves but things that shouldn't be in there anymore were also removed. Kitchen pantry shelves were also purged. Add to that laundry, 2 bathroom scrubbings, vaccuming I think I had a productive and exhausting day. DH and I had decided to use one of our gift certificates and go out to dinner. We cleaned up and then announced that I was driving since he was tired. I was tempted to go and find my shovel.

We did have a nice dinner out. I had stuffed shrimp, rice, cauliflower, carrots and broccoli and a salad but the apple pie made with a shortbread crust with warm caramel and whipped cream was screaming my name. I did indulge and it was so good. I can't say I left any and I was tempted to pick up the plate and lick it clean.

I thought after all the activity yesterday I would sleep really well. I guess my downfall was falling asleep in the chair for 1 1/2 hours and then I was wide awake. Although DH had regular coffee and I supposedly had decaf. He was snoring away and I was tossing and turning watching the clock tick away while my head was swirling in a million different directions. Wondering if they mixed up our coffee.

No custody arrangements today that I know of. The BF offered to help her with their "save the dates" and although she didn't believe that he would help he opened his mouth so looks like he'll be helping whether he wants to or not!

I'm not sure about exercise today. Unless I play with the Wii Fit not sure whether there will be any.

Deb-so glad you and Katie had such a special day together. I really want to see "Wicked" and we have a gift certificate but DH and I can't seem to reach an agreement about what to see. I read the book and loved it and then I gave the book to him and He started reading it and didn't like it so I think there's a mental block about seeing the show. I think he'd rather see "jersey boys" which is also supposed to be great although he denies the conversation about "Wicked".

I guess I'd better head upstairs and decide what I'm doing today. Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday. Loved that picture.

Just got back from the gym.. Felt good to get it out of the way... If I wouldn't have went this morning, I wouldn't have made it there at all since it closes at 3pm today.

Well I for one slept like a log! I am not sure if it was a combo of a bad night sleep the night before, the cold air in NYC, the week caught up or the fact I had a queen size bed to myself........I think it might have been the last one honestly but we won't tell Bill that, alright? We can keep that between us ladies, lol. I spoke to him last night and the trade show he went to in Atlantic City was disappointing. They had checked into their hotels, taken a nap and had just gotten showered and dressed and were going to find someplace to eat. Not without hitting the casino first. Let me tell you ladies my Bill is not your casino type guy.........he is not thrifty with money as you all know but he had a problem with throwing away money by gambling. He told me he played the slot machine and went through 2 rolls of quarters, lol. He was done! Our friend John was playing black jack where each bet was $25.00.....thank goodness my Bill does not go for that. Anyhow I spoke to him about an hour ago and they were just checking out of the hotels. He had a bad nights sleep telling me he tossed and turned and fell out of bed......lol. It was not snowing in Atlantic City and he was surprised to hear it was coming down hard here on LI. It will make for a very long drive home, I am sure.

Katie is showering and getting done, she is going to hit the hills and go sleigh riding with her friend. I will pick the girls up around 1:00. We hardly have snow anymore so this is a treat and of coarse no school tomorrow makes the kids even happier. I will fix up downstairs and clean up upstairs. Somewhere along the way I lost the beautiful necklace Rob gave me for Christmas. It has to mixed in my jewlery box or the bloody cat knocked it off my dresser and it is under something. So that is my main focus for this afternoon. I guess I need to come up with dinner for tonight and with the weather it better be something hardy. Maybe some stew simmering on the stove might work.

I hope you all have a wonderful day today. Patty try not to work too hard in CL, glad that Ryan was around to help out. Deb don't you work too hard either, kudos to you for heading to the gym this morning already. Susan, do a Peapod order, lol. Much easier..........you made me laugh about the surplus of supplies we never use and are outdated sometimes before we need of use them. Does anyone watch Wife Swap? The other day there was a family that cut coupons.....it was an obsession, lol. They save so much money but buy products they normally do not use. Their basement was stocked for years with stuff.........the only thing I could imagine was the expiration date on most of that stuff. They had different stuff just because it saved them money. I am not picky with lots of things but certain things well are just a given. Like I don't mess with my ketchup, mayo, shampoo, toothpaste. I purchase the same products time and time again, on sale or not. I hate throwing something out because it expired before I got to use it. Right? Waste of money then?
