My rule is if a kid is in bed around 10 or 11 he/she should be able to be up by the same hour. I let her stay up past 10:00 while on vacation and she sleeps in but I usually poke by 10 the following morning. I expect help around the house especially since I work 30 hours a week outside of the house. There is no reason for dirty or clean laundry to be allowed thrown all over the room. Bad habit if you ask me and disrepectable. Heck its not her money buying the clothes and objects. I saw my girlfriends kids house the other day and was so surpised how messy the bedrooms were. Just gross if you ask me. About the other chores.....it is only fair that the kids help out. Some days they are better then others but I want them to learn. Katie has to be in bed during school days by 9:30 since she needs to be up at 6:00 in the morning. Like I said vacation is a little different but sleeping that late pushes the bed time later and so on and so on. I also like having "me" time or "our" time with Bill. After working all day long he likes to use the TV and we all know how the kids can dominate the TV and the shows, lol.
You are absolutly correct, I would die if I lived at your house. Bed times are important to Bill and I and always have been. Especially during a work week. Like you said the kids need their sleep. The old house only had a livingroom, no den
Normally I would have said no to Fed Ex delivery today but now I am not so sure. We had nothing come in the office today so I just assumed..........Federal Holiday everything closed but as I pulled into my driveway a little while ago the UPS truck went past. Sorry you did not get your Wii yet, maybe tomorrow.
Patty so sorry about your head aches. I find I get mine more and more, although they are not migrane strength they are annoying. Hope you feel better, hope that Ryan does as he promised, hope you get to enjoy the snow, hope Bob doesn't decide to get too friendly with the "big" dogs in the back and well I hope the SG learns who is the real boss at your place.
