Good Morning,

Blue skies and sunshine but cold temperatures here on LI this morning.

It's getting closer to the Friday mark and payday which I'm very thankful for this morning. Also thankful for valet keys to my car so when I start my car and get out to deice my car and forget to hit unlock that it lets me get back into my car. Thankful for the man in the parking lot the other night that helped me with a frozen door situation and finished brushing off the snow on the back of my car. Thankful that I bought my functional not fashionable boots just in time. Thankful for the work ethic that my son has. It's nice to know that DS takes pride in his work and he'll take the extra time and effort to make sure the job is done right so that the job is done right the first time and doesn't come back with an unhappy customer. The push is always on for him to hurry up and get it done and out the door but he's happy when it's done right the first time and doesn't come back with his name on it. He's come a long way in the past few years and I'm very thankful for that. I so wholeheartedly agree with Margo's sentiments about this board and yes you all help keep my sanity or what's left of it! Thank you all!

I had such a great run on the treadmill last night. Usually it's just a walk or slow paced run in the evening. Must have been pent up aggression coming out of me! No workout planned for this evening. Plans for aggravation counseling this evening. Maybe she has a better recipe for making lemonade out of lemons or perhaps a theory on why boys are stupid.

Donna-great job on that weight loss! Congratulations! Patty-sorry to hear that your FIL isn't doing well. It must be very difficult having both Dads dealing with health issues. Glad you had your conversation with SG and that he apologized for his "chill pill" remark. Li-Deb-sorry to hear that your FL vacation wasn't full of warm days and sunshine. I know my sister was in the Keys and ended up coming home since she hadn't packed any warm weather clothes that she was in need of down there. Hope Katie is feeling better. Debbie/MN-good luck with the job application. Hope you find something. Z-Deb-love the tulips in your posts! Reminds me that spring is out there somewhere!

Well I'm off to the kitchen to put together some turkey burgers for this evening's entree. I need something quick to put together so that I can get back out the door on time. Then off to the wacky working world.

Hope you all have a great day!

This really is a check in since I never made it here today. It seems when we get to Thursday I am over whelmed and often running on empty and getting online is often difficult. This morning I woke up at 5:30 with about the worse headache I have ever had. I had all I could do to go downstairs into the kitchen, fumble through my basket and find the Excederin. I took 2 and a glass of water, went to the bathroom and went back upstairs to bed. The alarm went off at 6:20, I rolled over gave Bill a huge poke and told him how I felt and that he needed to get himself and Katie going for the day that I would be of no help. I then rolled back over, reset my alarm clock for 7:45, threw the pillow over my head and went back to sleep. When I got up the headache was still there but not as severe. I made my bed, made some hot tea, then took a shower. As I was getting done my phone rang it was the older lady (M) I work with telling me she was still feeling icky and would not be coming in today. The other coworker (I) was going to be out also since she had a previous appointment for her son at the doctor. I politely told my coworker that I would then be alone and I was not happy with it but would be fine. Got to work and advised me boss in the parking lot since we both pulled in at the same time...8:55. He was clearly upset and he got even more upset when I told him the latest I could stay was 4:00 since Katie and I had previous plans. I did not tell him it was the horse but I made it sound like it was important and could not be changed. He called M and asked if she would come in the afternoon which she quickly told him no! Then he called I and asked her the same thing and she said she would try but had no control of the doctor appointment. Seems her son was having special tests done, something to do with his ADHD. The appointment was time consuming and well she needed to be with her son, which I understood completely. I told my boss we would be fine and since he is considering down sizing he might want to consider who is letting go of. I later spoke to I and advised her to not come in that everything was fine and under control, I told her the answering machine would be put on at 4:00 and we would handle the calls in the morning. I told my boss the same thing and thank goodness he listened to reason. As it is I did not leave until 4:45 and Katie did not go riding because it was too cold, she had extra makeup homework to do

My note for today will be a check in, too, since I didn't get here earlier.
