It was a busy day at work today. The boss wasn't around much today with a court appearance in the AM as well as the PM but plenty to keep me busy and an inbox that will keep me that way tomorrow.

Nancy-I have to say I love reading about your time away. It really sounds like you're having a great time and and much needed relaxation-a bit envious as well :)!

I tried a banana smoothie for breakfast as well as these breakfast bars that I made yesterday. I made them mostly for DH since he very rarely eats breakfast anymore. It's funny since he was always stressing to the kids how important breakfast is and would get so annoyed when they didn't eat breakfast. Anyway, I made them since they're made with oatmeal, almonds, toasted wheat germ, raisins and I thought they would be something for him to eat on his way to work or an easy thing to eat while he was working. I wasn't sure it would be enough to tide me over. Dinner was an experiment as well with a szechwan pork and noodles. Pretty good experiment.

I got half a workout in. I was thoroughly annoyed with DH when he came down to the basement with phone in hand insisting that I talk to a friend of ours. Why he couldn't tell her I was on the treadmill and would call her as soon as I was done I don't know but he's standing there pushing the phone at me. Why I was needed on this conversation at all I don't know since the whole conversation was about a job listing she saw for DH. Then the phone rang again and down he came again to put me back on the phone to get the email address--hello you know the email address. By the time I got back on the treadmill it had shut itself off and I had totally lost all my motivation. Then I get the sulky "I thought you would be excited about this". Go ahead-now ask if he's read the email and looked to see what he has to do in order to start the process to take the civil service test-in case you haven't guessed the answer would be no. I think he's going to have to put his big boy pants on and read it all by himself. There are days when I feel like I have a fourth kid. Little to no patience this evening!

Yes, Otto and I did get out for our walk and brrrrrr....layers of clothing and a big yellow jacket helped make it a little better walking. The wind was the worst part of it and of course a night when I would have preferred a short walk his majesty decided that a long walk was more in order. Only good thing was that the distance between sniffing stops was longer and the actually sniffing shorter. The wind was at our back on the way down but coming home brrrr......!

Well it's that time of night and before I head upstairs I need to turn my dryer on. Totally forgot about it when I came in the door this evening. Brain overload I think it's called! Good night ladies!
