Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.
The usual day at work. Was feeling a bit overwhelmed and by late morning the projects I had started were certainly more than any completed. Haven't seen the bottom of in box in ages I live in fear of when I actually get to through it and what actually may be lurking in there.
DH did get his civil service exam completed and filed today. The test is in April and then we'll wait and see what happens with it.
It was nice that dinner was bubbling away and moments from being served when I got in this evening. So very hungry today! Otto and I got out for our walk and although still cold at least the wind wasn't blowing so it made it a little nicer for walking. We did see a guy who either is really warm blooded or out in search of spring this evening. He had a pair of shorts and short sleeved shirt. Certainly made me think we were living in different locations on the same street. I quickly changed into some workout clothes and pulled Maya out of her box. When you first load your profile you're asked to select how you're feeling with the 3 choices being ready to get going, feeling OK or you're lucky I'm here-I went with option 3. I did feel better when I was through but one of those days where I had to push myself through and it did keep me out of the cake.
DS called and he enjoyed himself blowing things up and then putting them back together. Again not sure exactly what that meant but seems like he's learning a lot. He's opted to stay one more day so he doesn't have to rush from school and to the airport. Not sure what it cost to change his flight. I've learned not to ask questions. The trip was paid for by the business but I'm sure he's responsible for the extra day and change of flight plans.
I think it's time I head upstairs and crawl between the sheets. Hope you've all had a good day. Pleasant dreams!
Another busy day from Debbie land........Karen I hope you feel better, Patty glad this flock is gone and you can relax just a bit, Shar shame on you for the FF suggestion, Susan good job on the work and I understand that "inbox" all too well.
Yesterday was busy but not crazy so I was happy about that. My desk only had a few files on it and no major problems with my files. It was a full and busy day and the phones just never stopped ringing but I managed to get out of there on time. I ran to Walbaums (local grocery store) for the few items I so desperatly needed to round out the week food and misc item wise. In Costco on Sunday I bought stuffed Tilapia which made for an easy fix meal on Monday night. Some cheesey rice with broccoli and toast and we were all set in a matter of 45 minutes (thank goodness for that convection oven). Fell asleep on the couch around 10:00, went to bed and started all over again today...........
After Bill and Katie left I enjoyed my tea and had plans of going online and posting on the board but forgot I had some bills that needed to be paid so I spent 45 minutes doing that this morning before getting into the shower and heading out the door for work. Work was actually pretty calm and I got alot accomplished, the afternoon/evening was just super busy for me. Quick change of clothes at 3:30 and off to the barn we went. Just way to cold outside so Katie was on her own while I waited in the car and watched from afar, lol. I brought along my sewing box and while I waited I pinned two pairs of work pants I just bought at Marshalls. I got one hemmed and the other I will finish up over the weekend. Came back home around 5:30, Katie went right back into school work and I took a ride to Target. My younger sister came down today with my nephew and they are spending tonight at our middle sisters house and tomorrow they are staying here. My mom brought over her pack & play to my middle sisters house but it smells. It has the touch of fuel oil scent and it just grosses me out. I know my youngest sister won't say anything or offend anyone so she just brought down her own sheet for him to use. It really bothers me so I went to Target and bought my own. When I told the gals at work what I was going to do they said I was crazy but I did it anyway. When Bill got home he was very glad I bought it and he put it together. Actually he was going to drive the new one over to my middle sisters just so Liam did not have to sleep in the other one. It took all I could to convince Bill that the other one was probley just fine and I was being overly crazy. We ate dinner, then Katie finished up her HW and I got started on my lasagna. I made a lasagna for dinner for tomorrow night. I knew I was not going to have time tomorrow. This thing was heavy....yikes (2 1/2 boxes of lasagna noodles, 3 jars of sauce, 2 lbs of mozzarella, 6 lbs of ricotta cheese, and 2 lbs of chop meat........lol. It has to feed 9 of us tomorrow and with a healthy salad and fresh Italian bread we should be set. Inbetween the cooking and assembly I cleaned up the living room and the dinning room, I did 3 batches of Billy's laundry (he left it here this morning but only had time for 1 batch and was going to do it tomorrow night when he came but I was being a nice mom, stupid but nice), I also washed the new sheet for the pack & play and I pulled out the boys wool baby blanket and Katie's crib comforter and washed them so Liam has warm blankets while sleeping here tomorrow night. Going to head upstair now and this way I can get up at 6:00 in the morning to finish up around here. I want to run the vacuum in the morning and run the dishwasher before I leave so all I have to do is set the table and make a salad. Hope you all had a nice night and I will try to pop back in the morning, if not I will check from work.
