Good Morning,

Yes, lots of snow although not sure whether it will be enough for the office closing. Being only 2 miles from the office I really don't have an excuse as long as the roads are cleared. But I'm still hoping! I do face the challenge of getting the end of the driveway cleared out and the massive amounts of snow off my car. I think DH left here this morning with the assumption that I would be home today as he did nothing to clean anything off. So looks like I'm on my own trying to clean off the front walkway and a path for Otto. Otto has short legs and a very low belly so he was up to his chest trying to wade his way through the snow trying to find a place to do his business. DS usual walk down the block to work will be replaced by driving from the eastern end of LI westward as he's dog sitting for his boss'. He was also recruited as the car pool driver for various employees who live in the area. I hope that goes well and that he makes it safely.

Nothing much else going on around here. I do hope to get some type of workout this evening. Doubt that there will be an evening walk with my 4 legged friend. I need to head into my snow gear and see if I can get myself dug out. Hope all of you ladies suffering from the snow blight safe safe, warm and dry.

Good morning!

Snowing like he** here. The next 4 hrs are supposed to be the teeth of this storm. Very cold, very slippery out.DH got the walkway cleared off so we could get me out the door and to the train, which we did. He's going to take his time with the rest of the cleanup - he talked with the office manager early, and she told him the boss isn't expecting to see anyone until noon, if at all.

Deb, I hope you're right about the sun helping this to melt quickly, but it's going to be so cold here the rest of the week, I'm thinking icebergs on the lawn and skating on the pond out back until Easter Sunday - single digit temps overnight!

Getting closer to town, so I need to wrap up. Stay warm, stay safe, and drive carefully! Talk to you all later.

Hugs!

Oh my what a mess for you gals getting snow ... just watched the weather channel and read your posts.

Come to Wyoming ... it is currently 46 degrees ... going up to a balmy 63 degrees today, and sunny!

As it turns out after shoveling out the end of the driveway with the assistance of the young man across the street and de-snowing my car I finally had to come in and defrost my very cold hands to find a message on the answering machine saying the office was closed for the day.

NY City Schools are also closed-they never close! Last closure was in 2005! Other DD called from Las Vegas where they have temperatures in the 60's. She told me that their plane from CT to GA was apparently struck by lightning as they heard a huge boom and a big flash of light and lots of turbulence. Fortunately everything was OK and the rest of the flight was fine and the flight out of Atlanta was one of only 10% that actually took off from there. A true Nor'easter as it's snowing again with wind chill of around 0 and we're probably looking at about a foot of snow. I'm packing my bags and heading west! Winter be-gone!

Morning all, we are still in CT. Sharon got home from work around 8:00 last night and the snow had just started up here in CT but it was already snowing home on Long Island. Talked with the worry wart husband who said stay put and we will play it by ear in the morning. Well as you all know we got lots of white stuff and it is still coming down. Not sure what the day is going to bring. Schools were canceled and my boss' flight from Florida was canceled this morning so no one is in our office. I am not sure what appointments were on our afternoon schedule but there is no way I can find out being up here. If anyone has an appointment they will hopefully figure it out that no one is stupid enough to head over, but then again.......lol. My mom is supposed to head up here today to watch Liam tomorrow but she is home on LI throwing up. My gutt feeling is since I am already here I might just stay put and watch Liam again tomorrow. I do not need or want Katie to miss school but I think if we travel today it might be too dangerous. I need a crystal ball here. I spoke to Bill a little while ago and he has been shoveling, snow blowing and plowing out since 7 this morning and he said it is a mess out there. I guess I will check back later today to see what everyone else is up too and let you know what I decide to do. Have a good day everyone!
