I'm on my way back up to the kitchen to clean up the disaster that I've created in there. I had a whole Betty Crocker thing going on-June apparently wasn't around since I'm sure June would have fit in cleaning up the house as well. I made banana bread this morning, then since the oven was on I made some meatballs and started a pot of sauce for dinner tonight. Then I decided it was a good night for soup, but when you have soup a loaf of bread really fits in nice but figuring banana bread wasn't a good option I got the bread machine out. Garlic & basil bread. It went well with the broccoli chicken noodle soup that I tried out. Needless to say I have a bit of a mess to clean up! By the way the squash ravioli were very good just a little messy serving as they stuck together. Not sure I would make them again as they were a bit of a pain but they were very tasty!

Outside twice today to do some shoveling and cleaning off the car once again. Our neighbor had used his snow blower to do our sidewalk but underneath was ice that needed to be chipped away and moved. I also had to clean off the back steps and make a pathway. The plow had been by again this afternoon and redistributed some really heavy ice chunks and snow back in the apron the driveway. Fortunately my neighbor across the street was out and he came over to assist me. We had about a foot of snow. Didn't really enjoy the shoveling part of the day but the extra day off was nice.

Treadmill time this morning plus I purchased a yoga for weight loss DVD the other day. It was a good work out for the day. Add in the snow shoveling and I did ok in the exercise department. Of course the calories I burned I'm sure were all right there again with the amount of bread I ate today! It was just so good.

I am going to head up to the kitchen area and get my kitchen clean up under way and then I will be retiring to my chair for the evening.

Hoping everyone suffering from the nasty weather arrived home safely at their destinations this evening.

Patty-I was wondering what your SIL had to say about your FIL. I guess I was correct in my thinking. She certainly is a unique individual to say it nicely.

Grace-hope the stress on the homefront eases up soon. Hope your knee is feeling better as well.

Karen-wishing for a pair of flip flops instead of warm wooly socks and slippers!

Ok-I really am going to clean up the kitchen now! Hope you've all had a good day.

As you know the whole east coast got hit hard with the snow and it snowed here in CT on and off most of the day. It finally stopped around 3 in the afternoon. Katie and Sharon went out around 1 to shovel the snow from around Sharons car and then warm it up and brush it off. Katie then switched with me and I went out and Sharon helped me do my car. Living in a co=op leaves little room for the snow piles. Spent the day enjoying Liam and helping my sister out with some laundry and girl talk. Katie finished her school work she brought along and we ordered food in. We watched some TV and did some reading too. Pretty low key...back home my my mom and Rob
