We're at about 9 degrees this morning. When they factor in wind chill we go below zero. When you factor in " sick of winter" you go even lower.

Big day for me, going for the dreaded mammogram this morning. DH

Good Morning,

After going outside to get the newspaper this morning I think I'll take most anything above the freezing mark! Brrrrr....it's cold outside! But the skies are blue and the sun is shining...guess that means I'm headed back to work this morning.

The dishwasher is humming, the dryer is twirling and the 9 to 5 is growing closer-must mean a normal day around here. I need to get everything into the system for our monthly billing and that will probably occupy the majority of the next few days. Hoping to keep on track with exercise and get my eating a bit more under control. I don't think Otto and I will be heading out this evening. By the looks of the outside world lots of ice coating sidewalks and streets. Hopefully the sun may do it's magic on some of it.

Margo-glad your DS had a safe trip to the doctor. Donna-how's the hip feeling. Hope you and your DH had safe travels yesterday. I was thinking of you yesterday when I was watching the news and they had a reporter from the Weather Channel reporting from Boston. Li-Deb-safe travels to you and Katie. I'm sure you did enjoy some extra time with Liam. Nancy-enjoy your warm temperatures and send some this way if you wouldn't mind! Karen-hope you continue to enjoy some flip flop weather. Meanwhile I'll be lacing up my boots!

Well the dryer has buzzed and I need to get to buzzing to get to work. I'll be needing to warm up the Focus before heading to work. Enjoy your day everyone!

I think Bob has been talking to Otto again. Otto sits and stares at his treat jar and when DS is home everytime he comes upstairs or downstairs he follows him around until he gives him something otherwise we hear him crying at the bottom of the stairs or else tries to gnaw his way through the gate!

Good morning everyone from wintery CT, lol. I guess I would be saying the same thing from Long Island since we got hit hard at home too. Bill said it is about 12 inches and a mess. But like Susan said everything is back to running normal, schools are open, business' are open and NY is back in full hussle bussel mode! As you all know I decided to remain in CT to help my sister out. I planned on leaving mid day yesterday once the snow stopped and I easily could have done it but my mom called my sister yesterday moring to let her know she was sick with a stomach virus. As the morning and afternoon went on she did not feel better and was worried about taking the ferry over here to CT to watch Liam for the day. Since I was already here and my job is flexible I figured I would stay and help out. Katie is missing school which is not good but she knows she had to make it up and it will be monitored. Hoping they don't do too much! Told my co-workers that I would not been in but would be working Wed, Thurs & Fri instead. Since my boss in still in Florida or now on his way home I could not tell him. I know Bill is missing us, he told me so last night. Poor baby of mine, lol. My sister works all day 7 to 7 shift and won't get home until 8:00 the earliest. Our food supply is not too great so when Liam goes down for his nap I will leave Katie with him and run to Stop & Shop so her and I can eat lunch and dinner tonight. I am hoping that around 6:30 I will cook something for us and then once Sharon gets in the door I will head out. I am going to see what time the last ferry is and I might consider taking that back instead of driving around the city. I understand with the conditions we have a lot of black ice for our temps are below freezing with the wind chill. I guess that is about it. I will pack up our stuff, loan them in my car, deflate the aero bed and wash her extra sheets. I hope everyone has a good day today and stays warm.

Yes looking forward to getting home. Not looking forward to the drive, however! The last ferry in and out is at 8 so we can't make that. So I will have to drive around which is really faster then the ferry. Just need to becareful of the roads as they freeze. Glad we were here to help out. I ran to the grocery store while he napped earlier today to get some roast beef for sandwiches for Katie and I. I also picked up a roasting chicken for dinner. It is in the oven now and should be ready to pop in about 15 minutes, right around the time when Liam should be ready to eat, lol. I figured Katie and I would have an good meal before Sharon got home so once she got in the door we would head out. Katie and I loaded the car earlier today and I will remote start it to warm up around 7:30. On Sunday she got home around 8:00 and that is what I figure for tonight. If I time it right and the road cooperate we should be home around 9:30. When Sharon checked in and I told her I had gone to the grocery store and would have a hot fresh chicken cooked she was extremely happy............she said I was the best, lol. I guess that is the mom in me coming out always doing. Could be worse, right? I probley won't get back on line tonight or tomorrow morning so I hope this finds you all doing well. Hope you have a good evening and a good day tomorrow. Patty wondering how you made out with your mamo? Susan your meal(s) from yesterday sounded great. Grace what do you actually eat when you eat sushi since you have to be so careful with your allergies? Ladies have a nice one!

Real cold (35 degrees) here again today - there was still snow in my yard and on my roof when I got home from work today.
