Love the photo this morning. That little touch of green-so pretty!
Temperatures are supposed to be warming up this morning and there are pretty blue skies and sunshine at the moment.
It's the typical Saturday around here with lots to do. I think my mission should I choose to accept it-is to defunk the refrigerator. I'm usually very good about throwing out the must gos before they become science experiments but at this point in time I'm a bit afraid!
DD's BF has a bachelor party this evening so she's decided that she will be in attendance for dinner this evening. I'll put a small roast into the crockpot and make some shredded beef for dinner. I also have had a craving for pudding so I'm going to make pudding mixed with Cool Whip light that makes it light and fluffy and very tasty.
Work was another busy day yesterday and fortunately the day passed quickly. When I walked in the door last night DH had already picked up a pizza for dinner that evening. Having an early dinner left Otto and I plenty of time for a nice walk afterwards. My puppy doesn't seem to be feeling well this morning. I know DH let him out about 4:30AM and I see DH left him his food which remains untouched. Hopefully he will be back to his usual self before the day is through.
I do need to get a workout in this morning. My workouts have been half hearted at best this week and last night I just ate way too much. I need to refocus!
That's my day-exciting!!!! Anyone care to join me? Science 101 at its best!
Thanks for the reminder about daylight savings time, Patty. It completely left my mind, but then again, almost everything does anyway lately. Can't even blame pain pills...I refused them.
Well, DH and I are in Chatham, MA enjoying a nice getaway. We are staying at a pretty place called The Cranberry Inn, where we have stayed in the past.Very charming. We thought we were going to have to cancel. We left home around noon, but as we got on the highway at higher speed, we heard a loud, whooshing sound coming from under the car. We weren't far from our dealership, so we headed over, thinking the worst. Turned out the plastic cover under the radiator had cracked, half of it was dragging and the other half was flapping as the air blew through the crack. The mechanic tied it all up with zip ties so we could get on our way quietly. The fix is working nicely, and we have a repair appointment later in the week.
Sunday, we're going to have breakfast here, take a walk through a former cranberry bog that is now a nature preserve right behind the inn, hang around here until early afternoon, and make our leisurely way home along Route 6A, which is a pretty 2-lane highway on the north side of Cape Cod. Laundry awaits at home, along with dusting and vacuuming - all of them can wait.
I hope you've all enjoyed your Saturdays as much as I have!
