I wanted to stop here and say good morning to everyone before I start out on my Sunday agenda. I'm headed to the grocery store and having forgotten to make a manicure appointment I'll have to call and see if they have time for me. I've been thinking that maybe I should go every other week just to save myself a few $ but it's the one bright spot in the week that I really look forward to. I have the remainder of the laundry to put away and bills to pay and just realized that DH is headed to the accountant on Tuesday and I only have part of the paperwork put together. I make him go see the tax man after a comment a few years ago that resulted in me telling him that he could either find another accountant or use the one we have and go vent to him instead of me. Of course, I still have to put the stuff in order.
I'm sore and stiff from my workout yesterday and I had an exhausting day of housework. My mid afternoon I felt like I was going into a mini meltdown. I'm looking around at unfinished projects and things that need to be done and of course the still daunting task of decluttering around here. I had to take a breather and refocus on what exactly I could accomplish for the day. The house is back in order and not sure anyone else notices or cares but it made me feel better.
I think the shower issue is being resolved. DD had a call from her GF looking for a list of people she would like to have invited. I also sent her an email offering my assistance so I feel much better about the whole thing. The task of actually surprising her probably won't happen...but we can try. Her GF already has a place in mind which is where DD and her BF had their engagement party. It's a really nice place and her GF is friends with the owner so I think all would be very happy with this idea.
It 's gray and gloomy looking outside and I'm feeling worn out today. And yes, I'm so ready for spring. I saw some daffodils poking up through the ground yesterday. I may take a walk around the neighborhood at some time this afternoon and I will get Mr. Otto out for a stroll. DD mentioned having me having custody this evening. Frankly I'm not sure what I'll be cooking. If I can convince DH to uncover the bbq maybe I'll marinate a london broil and put that on the bbq.
I'd better get rockin' and rollin'. Hope everyone has a super Sunday!
I'm enjoying my mini-long weekend very much, thanks. Mini-long, b/c I only took a few hours out of the office Friday. But they were rejuvenating - I spent them having a mani/pedi, which came with a relaxing hand and leg massage. Very nice! My color of choice was missing, but I found another that I like as much - 20 Candles on My Cake. Who thinks of these names? :-)
My niece is with us. We had a fun Saturday - went to see "Race to Witch Mountain", which was a real adventure. Thank goodness for the good guys! We walked around Patriot Place and went into some of the shops for some fun stuff, then went to have a yummy dinner at Stoneforge.Fun day!
Princess II has some homework to do and we need to get some breakfast into us, then we'll figure out a game plan for the day before we bring her home around 4.
Hope work in CL goes smoothly today, Princess I. And I hope all of you have a lovely Sunday. I saw crocuses and one crazy robin yesterday - Spring is knockin' on the door. Yippee!!!!!
