May the luck of the Irish be with everyone today on this fine Tuesday! So what is everyone up to today? Are you wearing green, eatting cornbeef, drinking some guines (you know that Irish beer), or is today just another day? Please share!
I had good intentions this morning, really I did! Got up at 7:00, made my bed right away, put on my sweats from last night instead of my bathrobe, made tea but then I turned the computer on..........never should have done that. I was going to do my WATP tape but instead I sat down with my tea and read emails and the boards. Got a singing birthday card from my inlaws with a $50 visa gift card in my front door, so that was a nice surprise! Billy sent me a HB text, Bill and Katie said HB before they headed out at 7:15. I am only working until 3 today and Katie said no barn today. So this afternoon I might treat myself to a pedicure. We normally go out to dinner on a persons birthday but we are going to hold off until Saturday night. Bill is super busy at the shop and since he let that other mechanic go last week he is behind already (and it is only Tuesday). I told him I understand him trying to get home at 6:30 for dinner was difficult. So instead we will do something..........who knows. I can get Katie to cook, lol. Now clean up will something else.
Happy St.Patrick's Day! When we were first married I always made corned beef and cabbage on St.Patrick's Day-not an Irish bone on either side of the family but it was something DH's mom always did so I decided I needed to do it too-well after a few years DH finally told me that I didn't have to make corned beef and cabbage since he didn't particularly like it. Haven't made it again although I think I'd like to try making it again!
Work is on the agenda. No telling what the day will hold so I guess I'll just have to be surprised. I'm sending DH off to meet with the accountant. There's been no good news coming from there in years. DH finally did what I've been asking him to do for years in changing his withholding and this is the first full year with the changes. I'm hoping to break even. So off he'll go with this manila file folder and my post its all over. I figure if there's some question that he can't answer they can put their XY heads together and call me.
It seems like it's going to be a nice day and Otto and I will head out for our walk. Otto bypassed his food bowl this morning and bypassed stalking DS for a treat before he left for work. Not sure what's bugging him as it's not something consistent.
Another try this evening at heading to the basement for some type of workout. But I always say that at this time of the morning.
Li-Deb-hope you have a fabulous birthday! Nancy-safe travels back to SD if I don't get to say it before you leave tomorrow. Are you both looking forward at this point to getting home? I'm glad you and Steve had this opportunity to spend a nice winter away. Zumba-Deb-somehow I missed the post about your sister. I was sorry to read about her loss. Very happy to hear that a little one is on the way. Wishing her well. Patty-good luck with your new flock of chicks! Margie-so good to see you back on the board.
Better get a'movin'! Waving hi to everyone and wishing you all a terrific Tuesday!
Debbie
