How did your Monday go?A Monday at work...watched the mood wheel spinning at a frantic pace. I put in for a personal day the Monday after Easter and then heard yet again about my coworker taking yet more time off. Time off at the end of April, then again in May and 2 weeks of vacation-why did I have to work 10 years to get three weeks when someone working there a mere 2 gets the same privilege...seriously messed up! And now I continue to watch the mood meter spin at home-oh joy!

What did you eat? Let's see. Breakfast-oatmeal cooked with cinnamon and a bit of brown sugar with raisins, whole wheat toast with peanut butter, oj and coffee, vitamin and calcium supplement. Cup of green tea when I got to work.

Almonds & apple for snack

Lunch-2 slices of deli chicken breast, slice of swiss cheese on whole wheat with lettuce and honey mustard, cherry tomatoes and baby carrots w/light ranch dip, jello cup w/peaches

Snack-strawberry banana Light & Fit yogart w/fresh strawberries.

Dinner-a bit of a disaster since I was a bit of a danger to myself and those surrounding me in the kitchen. Who knew a simple dinner could be so complicated especially since I made the salad this morning! Turkey sausage/beef burger-a bit overcooked, pasta salad and sugar snap peas in a lemon sauce. The burgers were done, the snap peas not then overcooked the snap peas and burned not one but two batches of almonds when trying to toast them. Needless to say I'm done in the kitchen this evening!

Did you drink enough water today? Lots of water today-actually exceeded the 32 oz.

How about your challenge goals.... how did they go? Took Otto out for a nice walk and went directly to the basement and did 30 minutes with Level 1 of my bootcamp DVD.

Did you have a good day at work? Already described above-I'm just saying there's got to be a better way! Did you get a lot done at home? As much as I'm willing to do on a paying work day!

Is it nice where you live? It's not snowing or raining but it's cold and windy! Winter coat layered with a long sleeved t shirt and hooded sweatshirt, hat and gloves. Although I'm thinking I'm getting old as I say a kid on his bike hauling his lacrosse stick dressed in shorts with just a sweatshirt-unzipped! But I remain Nanook of the North for the time being.

The upstairs shower has now stopped running which means my turn is next, final kitchen clean up and then I'm parking myself in the recliner until it's time for bed!

Hope you've all had a good day!

Susan

Very happy with myself on this first day of our challenge! Work was busy but not too stressful. I was annoyed that my coworker did not arrive until 10:15 this morning and took an hour for lunch so I did not hesitate when Katie called me needing a ride to Huntington Learning Center at 2:45. Drove nice and slow.......need I say more, lol. Our weather is windy and chilly but I was glad for the sunshine we had. I got out of work at 4:45 and headed back to pick up Katie. Once we were home she got started on her homework and I got the chicken roasting for dinner. Katie set the table for me while I was upstairs doing my Core tape. Dinner was yummy and I just finished cleaning up. Bill had to run back to the shop to show someone a car he is selling so I did the cleanup solo. Going inside to watch the DWTS and then under my covers early.

I should have printed my goals for this week and after I log off I will go check but I think I accomplished them all today.

  • I took all my medication and vitamins in the morning and again tonight.

  • I drank 4 bottles of water. Sorry but I am not sure what they equal in total ounce wise. They are 1Pt, 7.7oz and like I said I drank 4.

  • My food today was as follows:

Breakfast: Tea w/skim milk & equal, Special K w/skim milk and sliced strawberries

Lunch: Cup of lobster bisque soup (left over from the diner), big salad w/romaine lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers and fat free dressing

Snack: 10 Honey/Wheat pretzel sticks

Dinner: Roasted chicken with roasted baby white potatoes, steamed baby carrots and fat free chicken gravy

  • Exercise was my Core Total Body Workout which was 25 minutes on my Core ball with 5 pound weights

Susan, the work situation stinks. You've been there long enough that you should get the time off you put in for! Nancy, your job
