Did the day treat you well? A day filled with healthy eating?, drinking your 32oz? exercise a part of your day? Or perhaps a much needed day or evening of rest? What's the weather like in your corner of the world?

Inquiring minds would like to know....

First, I must confess that I let snacking to destress get the better of me last night.

I just finished my workout and before I head off to the shower I thought I would check in. The day went pretty well. The morning was kind of a drag but the afternoon moved along at a better place. I came across a potential place for the shower. Someone at work mentioned it although she didn't know much about it. Apparently it's a huge Victorian house with a big front porch and apparently a big beautiful backyard. The price seemed good since she didn't charge tax and the gratuity was up to your discrestion. She offered a tea like party with finger sandwiches or a buffet luncheon. I thought it might be worth looking into. I emailed the matron of honor and asked her if she would like me to look further into it. Apparently she's made up her mind what she wants to do and is annoyed with those that can't seem to "afford" what she thinks is appropriate. I certainly hope that her remarks weren't directed to my other DD and her cousin but it sounded like they were more directed to others that are planning "vacations" and purchases of boats. Anyway she seems to be of the mind that whatever everyone wants to pitch in they do that and she and one other would pick up the difference. I still say they could have found a way of doing something nice on a smaller budget but apparently I'm not going to change her mind. I asked if I could do the invitations and favors as a way of doing something to contribute but apparently she has that all arranged. She asked me to make chocolate but I've never done it and I'm pretty sure it's something my SIL who makes chocolate would like to do. My coworker also offered but it's just not the same thing. I don't think it's intentional but feel like an outsider.

I did have my laugh of the day however. DS day off is on Thursday. Now imagine a 23 year old 6'2" 140 lb all of 140 lbs in his Thursday get up of gym shorts, tshirt and big yellow Goofy boot slippers. He got them from Disney World along with the Goofy gloves and hat. Too bad he didn't have the whole outfit on but the whole picture just really amused me! Then DH over dinner said he was surprised that I didn't mention the things that he had done when he was off on Tuesday. I did forget to thank him for hanging the full length mirror for him and I totally didn't see my 2 stained glasses pictures that he had rehung in the windows. But he was totally surprised that I didn't thank him for cleaning the basement hallway. I asked him if he meant the hallway where I almost did bodily harm to myself on Tuesday-the same one that I've telling him that I was going to get hurt in-that same hall? I'm not sure he got my point! Men-so weird!

A day filled with healthy eating? Well it was until the Klondike bars appeared in the office. I've been resisting cookies, donuts and chocolate all week and then the boss showed up with them. I refused the first time offered and then when he said they wouldn't survive the office freezer I caved. I love ice cream especially covered in chocolate. I didn't look at the calories or fat content until later and I was horrified! Certainly not like the Slim a bear ones! But not something I indulge in on a regular basis so we'll just it will never be a regular habit-just an indulgence for the day. The rest of the day-breakfast was oatmeal with crasins, slivered almonds, whole wheat toast w/1 tsp of peanut butter, oj and coffee. Snack banana & a string cheese Lunch-leftover soup from last night, 1/2 sandwich on ww w/2 slices deli chicken breast w/honey mustard, snack-already described Klondike bar, dinner-gnocchi in tomato sauce with peas & mushrooms.

drinking your 32oz? Over and above and I got a nice reusable water bottle from Brita and no plastic taste. I'm tired of buying all those water bottles.

exercise a part of your day? Yes, I just did my weight loss yoga DVD-level one & two. Or perhaps a much needed day or evening of rest? I'm now going to take a nice hot shower and relax for what's left of the evening-except for the end of the day kitchen clean up.

What's the weather like in your corner of the world? It's rainin' it's pourin' which meant no walk for myself and my four legged walking partner.

Patty-that must have been interesting to read that diary. Glad to hear that so far you're having good luck with this flock.

Margie-good luck with your projects and hope the weather cooperates with your pool fix up.

Li-Deb-hope you're feeling better.

Nancy-Glad you're enjoying your Personal Trainer-I used mine last night and felt it today!

Karen-hope your DH and DS arrive at their destination safely.

Wishing everyone a good evening and a good night of rest!

Ran into a brick wall last night when I got home and had not interest in the computer so I just relaxed on the couch with the fireplace on and watched some tv. Work was busy but not crazy. I lasted until my 3:00 time and then headed home for my sweats. I took Katie to the barn, unfortunatly no one else was there so I had to stay. I relaxed in the car with my book, and turned the car on and off a few times to take the chill out of the air. We got home and Katie up a pot of water on for pasta. We ate the whole grain stuff from Barilla, its alright. But it was an easy dinner. I was under my blankets upstairs by 9:45. Unfortunatley

Maybe your challenge should be modified to say that you will exercise unless you are sick or there is an extreme emergency.
