It wasn't too bad of a day. The morning seemed that it would never end but the afternoon passed by rather quickly.

I'm blaming my coworker for my sugar cravings. She brought in rugelach and these big chocolate chip cookies from Costco. I've been trying to curb my taste for sweets and have been doing pretty well but once I dipped in the sweet tooth activation began. I didn't have a huge amount of either but it just started the cravings and now this evening it's ice cream.

It turned out to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood. The sun was out all day and although you needed a light jacket the temperatures were very nice. Otto and I got our walk in this evening and it was really pleasant.

I'm taking the night off from a workout. My knees are hurting and really feel like I could use a night of nothingness.

I emailed the MOH about the shower dates. I don't think either date is really good but I don't think she's going to start looking around for something else. She really is a very organized person. In her defense I know she's going through a lot after losing the babies in December and that's why I had originally started the email and my offer to scout places out and offer my help doing invitations and favors. It just seems like she's really not interested in my suggestions or my help. I wasn't big on the 3 weeks before the wedding since I know she's likely to be stressed out with last minute details. I did think that if it was left on Father's Day that we actually could surprise her with the idea of taking DH out for a Father's Day/birthday brunch since his birthday is 2 days later. That way she wouldn't be surprised to have her sister here from MA. We'll see if I have any response. I left it that either date would be fine with whatever decision is made. I read the response from DD's future MIL about the dates and she is dead set against the Father's Day date. I know she's contributing monetarily and I do wonder if that will play into the final decision.

So here's the damage done for the day:

Breakfast-Kashi vanilla wheat biscuits w/craisins, banana, skim milk, oj & coffee

Green tea w/a rugelach

Snack-almonds w/dried fruit bits

Lunch-chicken breast & swiss on whole grain bread w/honey mustard, lettuce & tomato, skim milk and 1/2 chocolate chip cookie.

Snack-yogart w/strawberries

Dinner-Boca burger on sandwich thin, dill pickle slices, big green salad w/balsamic vingrette. I'm trying not to think about the ice cream but not promising anything!

Water-35+ oz.

Hope your day has been a good one!

Checking in - Give myself a B+ today

Getting ready for work - glass of cranapple juice

Breakfast - PB and cheese on wheat bread with a cup of tea

Snack - about 15 mini pretzels

Lunch - cheesy cream of veggie soup that I made last night with lots of stirfry veggies and less cheese than I would have liked - I have one more portion for tomorrow.

Snack - cup of green jasmine tea with two small shortbread cookies

Supper - two hot dogs on buns and a big bowl of strawberries.

I want a snack, but don't have what I want (chips and dip are calling my name), so I'm hoping to ignore it and make it go away.

I drank 45+ oz of water

I took my vitamins

Yeah - I got my vegetables in today.

I went to Centergy, and committed myself to going to two classes back to back (Active, followed by Centergy)

My day was a good day but I was dragging much of the day and seemed very 'disconnected'.

Patty you really kill me. You really should think about putting warning signs in the begining of your posts because when one is drinking her morning tea and reads this..........well lets say thank goodness I brought a napkin to the desk before I sat down!

Donna said it best........life at the Madden's! Why do I feel like there is always something going on around here. How I wish for calm and quiet days/nights, maybe not everyone but a few scattered here and there would be nice. Does everyone have such busy stuff going on 24/7? I have to say working really gets in my way sometimes!

I got out of work at 2:30 so that was not too bad. Came home and Katie was dressed in her riding stuff. I did comment to her how clean the house stayed for 4 days while she was in CT. One day back and oh boy, she can be a slob! LOL, she has the worst habit of leaving a trail of things behind her, shoes, iPod, pocketbook, glass of iced tea, book.........argh! Well a quick change by me and over to the barn I went. Thank goodness her friend Jess was there and was going to ride with her so I left the two girls and headed to Walmart. I don't ever go to Walmart because it is kind of dirty, not in the best of neighborhoods, very ethnic but I figured since I needed everything and it was close by I would go and grab the Easter candy and stuff. I am not sure if its me but man, ugly people shop at our Walmart, scary....yes I know I was there too so I fall into the same category, lol. Anyhow, got most of what I wanted except the grass for the baskets. Went back to the barn, pulled out my receipt to discover the stainless tea kettle I bought that I thought was $17 was $32 so I went back and returned it. So 2 trips to Walmart in 1 day. Picked up Katie and home we came. Katie took a quick shower, had some Taco Bell that Stacey brought for the 2 of them (gross) and then she headed to our neighbor to babysit. While she was gone I headed over to CVS to get the grass and a few more things. I am putting together a basket for Stacey and Christine, the two girl friends but I don't think Christine will be here so I guess I will send it off with Billy after dinner when he heads to her house. Dinner was a bowl of WW chili for me and English muffins for Bill, easy! Did another batch of laundry and then went down to the basement and found the kids Easter baskets and pulled my bin with the decorations out. I should have done that 2 weeks ago but with kitchen work still going on I never had the chance. I never did sit down and watch any TV last night or get back on the computer. And I still managed to get to bed around midnight. And still no exercise! Very aggravating!

Breakfast: Tea w/skim milk, Oatmeal w/craisins

Lunch: Lean Cuisine Panni

Snack: Fiber One bar and green tea

Dinner: Chili w/lite sour cream

Snack: Strawberries (no cake or whipped cream)
