Good Morning,

A very gray and gloomy morning and at the moment it's raining. I haven't heard a weather forecast so don't know what it's supposed to do but for right now summing it up in one word-yucky!

Well, as tired as I was last night I ended up going to bed past when I had originally thought I would and then when I finally did get there the wheels in my head were turning round and round and I couldn't get to sleep. I was awake at my usual weekday morning time but did manage to go back to sleep for about an hour but really truly didn't want to leave the comfort of my bed.

It will probably be a busy day around here. I have to get a sauce started and meatballs made and my flank steak seasoned and ready for the sauce. I should have made it last night but feeling so funky in the head I decided it wouldn't be a good idea. I'll get that started first thing this morning so I can make my lasagna this evening. I have few misc. other things I can do today so I won't spend the entire day in the kitchen tomorrow.

I never pulled out any of my Easter things and DH's attempt at finding anything didn't work out since he didn't ask me and he was looking everywhere but where they are.

Apparently the shower arrangements have been made by the email I got yesterday. It will be the July 18th date. I never received a reply to my email and unless asked I'm leaving everything to the MOH. I'll certainly help with anything she asks for but I'm not volunteering since it doesn't appear she wants any help or ideas/suggestions from me. That's that. I'm sure it will be very nice and I hope DD will have a wonderful day.

I'm waiting for breakfast to digest and then I'm going to get on the treadmill. DD is really enjoying the elliptical. I was wavering back and forth about getting rid of it but she's been using it a lot and she feels like she's seeing results. I'm glad it found a good home.

Shar-I keep forgetting to tell you how much I love your new painting. I absolutely love the colors in it.

Nancy-hope your DD and DSIL arrived safely. Enjoy your time with them.

Debbie/MN-glad to hear that Trevor is home. I guess his first year must be coming to end soon? It's amazing how fast the school year flies by!

Li-Deb-How's kitty doing? Stacey sounds like she really enjoys being involved with the family and fits right in there with you all.

Patty-Happy Easter to you and your family if you don't get here tomorrow. Interested to hear how it goes with DS's GF and the family get together!

Donna-have a wonderful time with your sister and the family! How's your Mom doing?

Margo-did the storms pass you by last night?

Karen-hope you're enjoying the weekend.

Waving hello to everyone and guess I'd better get my act together if I hope to get anything accomplished. Hope everyone has a super Saturday!

Good morning, we have yucky weather as Susan so boldly put it! Rain, rain, rain!!! I am heading out in 20 minutes to the grocery store. I made my list yesterday and I have a ton of running errands to take care of this morning. Best to try and acomplish everything before noon if possible. What started out as a quiet Easter has turned into a house of company. From my understanding I think I am up to 15 people too. Its my kids with girl friends, we asked Stacey's parents to join us when Stacey said they never go or do anything special for Easter, Stacey's brother and girlfriend, Bill's parents, Bill's Aunt Linda & Uncle John (who usually do every holiday had no plans) and Bill's cousin Deb. So the menu here is a Leg of Lamb, Roast Beef, Stuffed Shells, Mashed Potatoes, Stringbean Casserole, Corn, Broccoli, Crescent Rolls, oh and Kelbasa. My carpets are still damp from the cleaning but they look great. I will help Bill move the stuff back in later. He is out doing his business paper work and banking this morning and has plans of working in the kitchen to try and finish the moldings. The only cooking I have to do today is make a sour cream pound cake and hard boil some eggs. The girls will color them later in the afternoon. House is pretty nice and should get put together pretty easily later. I promised myself I would not stress so I better keep to my word. Best I get moving at this point because I am sure as the day goes on the stores will get more and more crowded. Have a good day everyone and I will check back later.

Good morning! It feels like winter - only the snow is missing. Very cold, damp, and cloudy. I miss the sunshine.

Just finished with my haircut. Not razored, but a huge improvement. I guess I just need to maintain it better.

Went to the cafe next door to the salon and had coffee -- ok, and a still-warm blueberry muffin. MMMM, good!

Continued a few shops up the block to a fantastic little independent bookstore where I found books, Red Sox-themed T-shirts, and red rubber clown noses to put into the kids' Easter bags.

I'm at the library waiting for DH to pick me up. He went to work early; works out well, as my salon is a short detour away from the road to his office. We'll be home the rest of the day, cleaning up indoors and out. Dinner home tonight - bbq ribs. Yummy!

Patty, I was really happy to read about your sister's latest doctor's report. I hope your dad has a good day Sunday with everyone. I'm counting down the days until his chemo is over and he can get some strength and energy back. How's your FIL doing?

Susan, it sounds like you've found the best approach to the shower situation: just enjoy the day.

Deb, enjoy having Trevor home with the family. Is he definitely headed for Australia during his break? I'm soooo jealous!

Debbie, where did all those people come from???? It does sound like you're going to have a fun holiday. - hipe you get to sit down to savor it.

Nancy, have fun with DD and DSiL.Will they be there for a while, or is this a quick visit?

Margo, I love to watch big storms - as long as I don't have to think abnout running for my life. I used to live in an apartment building across from a big reservoir, and one night I watched a doozy of a thunder-and-lightning storm. What a lightshow! Man has never been able to create anything approaching what I saw that evening! This was more than 25 years ago.

Hello to everyone who's busy today or missing from the board. You're not far from my thoughts.

Have a good Saturday.

Hugs,

Donna
