"The Journey" Print

It is the illusion that we can go no futher that often holds us back.

Good morning everyone. Welcome to a brand new week where anything is possible, many things are likely and some things still remain a shot in the dark :)

Any goals for the week ahead, fitness or otherwise? Don't let yourself be what holds you back from

Good morning ladies..........what a beauitful day we had here yesterday. Bill, Katie and I got up early and headed to Englishtown, NJ for what else drag racing, lol. We went and surprised our friends who the kids used to race with. Everyone was so surprised to see us and it was such a wonderful feeling. We raced there 8 years, its a second home to Bill and the boys (some days I wanted it to be there permant home but we won't go there, lol). It was in the 90's and I had on jeans w/sneakers and black socks, gross! We hit tons of traffic coming home which put us back in after 8:00, mind you we left the track around 4:15. Very long ride home! Tiger threw up on my bed and my carpet which I saw just as we were leaving........so I had to clean up that mess before we headed out. Not a good way to start the morning so he was banned into the back patio with fresh water and a little bit of food. We got home and found two more messes in the patio and when we let him in he got sice in the den......this is so getting old. I told Bill that after he finishes this bottle of Zanteck, if he is still throwing up we need to make a decision. Bill got mad at me but the fact is I am the one doing all this cleaning up and its stressful and tiring. Not to mention the one giving the medicine twice a day. Anyway.........we have beautiful weather again today. I have to run to the bank this morning and cash my paycheck and deposit it into my account so I can pay bills. Work is a full 9 to 5 and I have to get Katie at 5:00 from Huntington Learning Center. I am recommiting myself to the challenge, with the nice weather if I don't get the exercise early I love a walk at night, helps clear my head. I can not walk with the chilly temps or wind. Peapod is coming sometime between 6 and 10 tonight so it would be best to pick up something before coming home for dinner. I hope everyone had a wonderful day today.

Good Morning,

Are we absolutely sure that there were two days stuck in there between Friday and Monday? These weekends are such a blur!

Patty-my stress test is 5/6. I wish it were this week.

The weather is beautiful again today. It was really warm here yesterday with temperatures well into the 90's. I got more than I expected to get done around the house yesterday. It was more of a lets make everything at least presentable. I'm still waiting for my dining room table to be downsized. I asked DH to help me and I got I'll take care of it on Tuesday. It's about a 2 minute thing to pull the table apart, pull the leaf out and push the table back together. But it's all about what's on the male agenda! I bbq'd last night only to run out of gas halfway through the cooking process. Of course, why would we have a spare tank on hand? So back into the kitchen, turned on the broiler to finish cooking the chicken. I ended up charring it on one side, my sweet potatoes didn't cook right on the grill so they ended up in the microwave and my coleslaw didn't chill long enough so dinner was quite what I had anticipated. I was shocked though when I asked DS if he would like to try the chicken (he's my anti-chicken family member-I know Patty it's shocking!) but he actually sat down and said it wasn't bad and enjoyed the coleslaw.

It's back to work today. My boss is going to be out Thursday and Friday which could make the 3 days that he is here a bit unbearable. We'll see which side the mood wheel he's on or it could be spinning completely out of control.

I have veggies all prepped for the "other white meat" stir fry for this evening. Otto and I will venture out for a walk after dinner and I'm anticipating a trip to the basement for me for a workout.

Li-Deb-sorry to hear that Tiger is still not feeling better.

Debbie/MN-hope things go well today.

I'd better move it along here this morning. I'm actually all caught up with Mt.Laundry including putting away my portion except for what's in the dryer so going to quickly tackle that and then head off to the 9 to 5.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week and have a marvelous Monday!
