Good Morning,

Another cool day and with the sun not quite shining. I've been on the phone with both DD's since 6:55 on their way to their respective jobs so I never got a chance listen to the forecast. DS on his way to work-actually working his day off giving him a 7 day work week-oh so not happy-mentioned it's supposed to rain. He's getting his truck washed so I'm sure it will now rain!

"Did you guys know that when men ask what kind of car you drive they do not consider Red Ford an adequate response??" DH would absolutely love your response! He has quite a number of customers looking for parts with that exact description!

My boss will be out of town for the next few days. Although he'll be out of sight he definitely won't be out of mind since it's a long ride to Ohio and he's easily bored so I'm sure there will be many calls to the office and lots of phone calls to be made for him.

No workout planned for tonight and I've declared it leftover night. No need to cook when there is an inventory of more than enough to eat sitting in there. I'm just not a big leftovers fan but I'm beginning to change my philosophy on that whole concept.

Thankful for the nice weather we've been having. The beauty of spring is all around and thankful for it. Thankful for the considerate drivers that actually stop at stop signs and let you cross the street. Thankful for all my appliances that make my life so much easier. Thankful for therapy appointments. Thankful for Thankful Thursday that makes me stop and think about all the good things that I so often take for granted. Thankful as always for you great ladies!

Time to get this day moving ahead! Hope you all have a great day!

Wow,

I am thankful something made me go into the i-village site today, which I haven't done in months. And come across this message board.

Reading all your thankful posts were wonderful.

I am thankful for that.

Plus, I am thankful for feeling like my life is finally settling down. For having the courage to leave my job, and give myself the time to collect my thoughts.

I hope to stop in here more often

Your car story reminded me of the time when DH and I took DS and a friend on a vacation to Hershey Park. The girls were old and mature enough to stay home by themselves. Although I told younger DD who had use of my car that it was only for locals runs and that with the condition of the car (it used to shake rattle and roll at speeds over 55) that she wasn't to use the car on the parkway.

Well here we are in this beautiful little cabin in the woods and before cell phones and no phones in the room about 9PM when there is a knock on the cabin door. It's someone from the main house informing us we have a phone call. So I go with my flashlight down to the main office where older DD informs me that her sister & her then BF had taken my car to the Hall of Science in Queens (yes it involved a parkway) and that the car was stuck there. Meanwhile my head is spinning that my car is in a parking lot and a. will it be towed since it shouldn't be there b. is it going to be stolen and c. how was I going to strangle her through the phone. Apparently they had the presence of mind to at least alert the security personnel that the car needed to stay there overnight.

After stewing about things and DH and I had calmed down Dh realized that I had an kill switch underneath the dash that used to fall out and it was probably accidently pushed into the do not start mode. Fortunately the next morning they arrived back to find the car still there and yes it was the kill switch. Yeah, she didn't drive my car for awhile!
