~*~Take a walk on Sunday~*~

Well the sun is out and the birds are singing and the morning is quiet what can one do with time like this? Take a walk perhaps? Does anyone have a place like this to stroll, relax and unwind? Who wants to walk with me this quiet Sunday morning? Any special plans for today or is relaxing the most important?

There is a saying about the best laid plans of mice and men.............Deb made the choice to have herself a weekend alone, well guess what, lol............didn't happen. What a mess the last 24 hours turned out to be. Not really bad but my alone time was not meant to be this weekend. Bill came home on Friday night and announced they were not going to race. Say what??? Turns our our friend John realized that 4 weekends in a row going racing were going to cost him a bit of money and rethought the idea. So they decided not to go down to Maryland. So with this in mind Bill made plans with the "pool guy" to come early Saturday morning and move some dirt and gravel piles in the yard and shop and spread some soil in the front grass area........awaken at 7:30 by the sound of two diesel trucks and a bobcat! With that we get a phone call from Billy who headed down to North Carolina on Friday night to do some testing on his mustang street car that as he and his friend drove through the night Billy's 2007 F250 started to overheat again and they had to stop several times to let it cool down. His truck was done a few months back by Ford with overheating problems and they redid the head gaskets in it under warrantee. Now again, so they dogged the truck down to NC and my husband and Rob decided to head down and help................well Rob and Bill left here around 2:00 Saturday afternoon. Last I heard Bill and Rob stayed somewhere near Roanoke, Virginia last night and were heading over to I95 to meet up with Billy and Keith this morning. Switching the trailer with the car to Bill's truck and following Billy slowly back. What a mess....so Katie and I are together again. Not that its a bad thing its just not the alone or me time I wanted. I spent yesterday taking her to the barn then we headed over to my sisters for a sit at her pool. Katie went in while my sister and I sat on the chairs and just chatted. Actually yelled because her bloody neighbor was having a new pool liner put into his pool they had to dewater (a problem living near the water here on LI) and they had the pumps running, OMG it was so loud. I lasted for about 90 minutes then we headed home. I washed my Explorer and then I went upstairs and took a nap. That was a nice treat.....before the nap Katie commented about wanting to do something............I told her too bad, I needed a break. So I headed upstairs and snoozed for about an hour, which felt great. At that point Katie, Stacey and myself got some Chinese food for dinner and we watched a few movies on the "free" on demand. We watched Definitely, Maybe and P.S. I love you. From there Stacey went home and Katie and Cole headed upstairs to bed. I watched another movie called SnowCake and then hit the pillow around 2:00 AM. It is amazing what a nap will allow you to do, lol. This morning I am finishing my tea and then I plan on throwing my sweat pants on and going for a walk. Then after my shower I think Katie and I are going to take Cole to Petco and buy him a doggie bed for my house. Billy has been bringing his back and forth and that is kind of silly. I figured leave one here in this kennel. I think I will stop and pick up a flat or two of inpatients and do a little bit of gardening should the weather hold out and the sun remain shining. Katie and I also talked about taking Cole to the park for a little walk and then heading over to this gourmet grocery store and treating ourselves to some fresh spinach pasta for dinner tonight. Actually spoke to Bill a few minutes ago and they are meeting up with Billy soon, doing the switch and then heading back home. They should be home late tonight. Well if you hung in and read this entire post I applaud you, lol. I hope everyone has a nice day today.
