Well I am thinking turkey this Tuesday morning instead of last weeks Bologna. Trying to be healthier here. Did you know these little tid-bits about turkey..............

The turkey is one of the most famous birds in North America.

And I wonder why I have trouble loosing weight........all I talk about is food, lol. I love turkey, it is one of my favorite meals.......hot or cold. Love it how with gravey and mashed potatoes and love it cold on a sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes. OK buying a turkey breast this week for dinner!

Well this weekend was not dull I can tell you all that. Bill and my boys got home Sunday night/Monday morning at 2:30 AM.......Long, long drive! Yesterday after a slow morning here Bill and I went over to the nursery and bought three white pine trees to plant by the driveway and several flats of petunias and impatients. Found the most beautiful petunias........yellow ones. Did some potting in the later afternoon and some weeding in the garden. It was a nice day. We had plans to go out for dinner but none of us wanted to shower and get redressed so I made a "party supper". We had some hambergers, some kelbasa, some left over rotisseri chicken, some warmed up fried rice, mac + cheese, huge tossed salad and beans and we called it a meal, lol. It really caught up to everyone around 9:30 and we were all in bed by 10:00 last night. Woke up to some chilly temps this morning and my curtains are blowing in the breeze. I should close a window or two but it does feel good to air out the house. I need to get showered in a minute and head into the office. I am hoping coming off a three day weekend I won't be too crazy there. What does everyone else have planned for today?

Good Morning,

I am truly exhausted this morning and could use another day off. If I did though I know I probably wouldn't use the day to rest up but instead truly get this project underway. DS and I spent about 7 hours boxing stuff up, moving furniture, mattresses, boxsprings and the room is empty with the exeception of one homeless dresser and an armoire that is just too big to move. We only had one minor disaster that could have been a major disaster if Otto, DS or myself had been in the way. DS moved a 6'bookcase away from the wall to move out and next thing we knew the thing fell sideways into a bin of glass objects. The top of the bin went flying off and pieces of glass went flying everywhere. Fortunately no one was in the way. DS disassembled the desk down here and the smaller one put in its place and the other one will be on the curb this evening. My house does look like a warehouse at the moment with mattresses, boxsprings, headboard & footboard, tv and tv stand in the living room and the basement is an absolute disaster. But one project at a time. DS was great to work with yesterday and we were both determined to get that job done yesterday. We did set a deadline for this project to be complete which means DS needs to go pick up his paint and pick out carpet for his room. Once he moves out I can get into his room which will be empty and repaint. Originally I wasn't going to paint but that just doesn't make sense if the room is going to be empty. I have to look at the calendar at work and figure out a week to take off and get this project done! Then nothing else until after the wedding and then it will be on to the basement. After the pack up move project I still had laundry that needed to be finished up. I was one tired, sore, sweaty mess by day's end! Not exactly a rest filled relaxing day!

But it is back to work today. It's sunny at the moment but apparently looking at the weather forecast rain is predicted for much of the week. I have a huge box of stuff to go through to put my desk back in order. I like having a smaller desk surface so less place to clutter up. I have to go through the box and purge and toss and I do know I have bills that need to be paid. I also want to do my 30 Day challenge. Obviously there's a lot to do around here.

I'd better get moving. I was on the phone with both girls quite a while this morning and I'm still not ready for work so better get a move on!

Hope you all have a great day!

Susan

Good morning!

Wyatt is taking a nap so I thought I would check in this morning... It's a cool morning with highs only to get into the mid sixties.

The pool guy was at the house spreading some soil for Bill in the front yard with the bobcat. No action on the pool situation other then more promises that he is still going to come through and do it. Claims he has 2 pool jobs he is helping to install, a liner change and some other odd jobs. No date as to when this might happen but Bill's attitude is that if we fill in the hole at this point we will never see a pool and will be out the $23,000.00. Bill said we waited this long lets wait another few weeks and see what happens. I wanted the hole filled and top soil brought in and grass seed planted before the heat of the summer came in with hopes of having some kind of nice yard for the summer but I have a feeling I will be looking at the hole for the entire summer and swating mosquitos. Unfortunately I have no choice but to listen to Bill. Because that hole is way to big to fill in by shovel.

IF MY BODY WERE A CAR...

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model.

I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull ...

But that's not the worst of it.

My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close

My traction is not as graceful as it once was.

I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.
My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.
It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed.

My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here's the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter ..either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!

Deb I really did not mean you. You have been posting here and we just miss our regulars. The board has been quieter then normal and I just realized so many people who are posting on facebook that are no longer posting here. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.
