Hi there and welcome to the FOF board. I wish I could give you some advise to help motivate you or help you jump start it but I don't. Believe me if I had I would be using it, lol. Your lucky its only 5 pounds, I would be eternally greatfull if I only had that to loose. My only one suggestion is to not give up. Stick around and get to know you you might find that hanging out with this crazy group might be all you need to push you. We look forward to getting to know you better.
Welcome to the board! Those 5 lbs can be tough ones to lose. I've been aiming for about 10-not really going anywhere with that one but I just keep trying.
I do go through periods of time where I have no motivation and/or desire to exercize but after a bit I realize that it really does make me feel better physically as well as mentally. My key is find things I enjoy doing. If you don't like something there's no inspiration to keep at it! I do get bored with things easily so I have enough DVD, a Wii with the Wii Fit and other fitness games with that along with a treadmill to keep me going. I also find keeping track of what I eat, how much I eat and when I'm eating it helps to try to keep me on track in that department. I just really love to eat and sweet treats are my favorite!
Hope you'll keep posting with us. It's a great board and we pretty much chat about anything and everything including fitness!
Hi Debi - Welcome!
We have a wonderful supportive group here, and we try to encourage each other in all aspects of being fit.
Right now we are challenging ourselves to do just a bit more than keeping on keeping on.
