Good Morning,

Another morning of the drearies! This is so old...we had rain, thunder and lightning overnight. I woke up around 3AM and couldn't get back to sleep for the longest time. Otto was my alarm clock at 6:15 when I heard him getting ready to vomit. I ran to get him to the hardwood floor but didn't make it. Always on the carpet. It certainly didn't affect his appetite. Went outside and then stood his position by his food dish. With not sleeping well and then rudely awakened and the gray dismal weather this morning I'm dragging. I really hope this work day moves along. We had telephone and internet disruptions 2x yesterday at work.

DH spoke to his sister last night. She met with the oncologist that the surgeon gave her the name of. He was less than tactful and had the bedside manner apparently of a flea. The story that I'm getting is that he told her that her situation was very bad and should immediately start chemo and radiation. She went home and spoke to her regular doctor who referred her to someone else that could see her right away. His suggestion was to wait until she recovered from the first surgery, go back and then they would go in and take a lymph node and make sure that the lymph node was clear and then start her on radiation. It sounds like it will be well into the summer before she starts any kind of treatment. I guess they're still assuming she's in the precancerous state. I've already voiced my opinion about this insurance group and would love to see her go to someone that my coworker used that is only a breast doctor but I know she won't do that. It was already suggested that she go for a second opinion with someone out of the network but she already said no. Just hoping that they know what they're talking about.

Did I see something on the board about some of you ladies having big boys and fun toys ?? Or was that fun boys and big toys???? That was me-one of the crazy NY girls-Fast toys for Big Boys! Which basically relates to boys doing things to cars to make them louder, run faster or whatever they deem appropriate. I just can't seem to relate!!! Just put me behind the wheel, point me in the direction I want to go and I'm happy!

DH is off today so I'm hoping that a 2nd coat of paint will appear on the walls. Tomorrow trim paint and then rip out the nasty carpet and wait for the carpet installer!

If the weather clears an after dinner walk with Otto and then hopefully some exercise time.

Nancy-since I too suffer from CRS I forget to send congrats to your DD on her half marathon!

Time to get my CRS brain into gear and ready for the work day ahead and see to a few household chores before entering the paying working world.

Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!

Susan

I'm going to sound like a parrot here...but it's another gorgeous day!

Hello, all! Went to see 8 year old granddaughter read her original poem at school today. Too cute! Looks like my fitness plans went awry and I won't be doing anything about it. I have to EAT THE FROG (exercise) first thing of the day or it doesn't get done. (Luckily I got called to sub a couple of body sculpting classes and that will definitely help get back to doing some serious weights.) Same thing goes with housework. I usually can't get into anything after I am out and about. Sometimes I can knuckle down and do something productive in the afternoon/evening.

Congrats to your sister Patty. How cool that she followed her heart and took a lower salary to do what she really wants to do. That is priceless when it comes to your health.

I hope your SIL take some of your advice about the doctors she is seeing, SUSAN. You sure have had a bunch of experience with doctors and know you have to take some of your care into your own hands.

Glad class will be out early for you today Nancy. I have to read about DD and the triathalon. DS did one Sunday too.

Speaking of CRS...spelling is way off too as well as the memory.

Have to go back and read some more posts...
