Good Morning,

I do believe I see something other than gray clouds this morning. Not quite sunny but not raining or looking like it's going to rain at the moment.

Yest, I would love to join you in that lovely location but in reality I sit with my second cup of coffee as I listen to the boom boom of whatever is being used to install the padding and carpeting upstairs. Otto for whatever reason is terrified and headed outside.

I really am not sure what I'm going to do with myself today. The house is such a mess there's absolutely no way of attempting any kind of cleaning. I will scrub down the downstairs bathroom. The upstairs bathroom at the moment is unusuable. I can't wait until this project is over!

I think after the carpet guy leaves I'm going to try to get a workout in. At some point during the day I'm going to head over to the paint store and get some paint chips so I can pick out a color for the upstairs room. I'm thinking of going rather daring with an orange shade. I've been looking through magazines and I found a couple of shades that I really like.

Nothing much else going on around here. Such chaos, clutter and me feeling very overwhelmed by it all. I guess I would feel better knowing it would be all done and not have to think about the clutter that still abounds in this house.

Guess I'd better get my meat unthawed and into the crockpot for my fajitas this evening. Hope you all have a Super Saturday!

Good morning, I would love to be on the hammock next to you for the day..........sounds wonderful. Do people really ever do that? Well last night I got my nephews cake baked and filled with the raspberry jam. It is in the frig. I stayed up late on the computer looking at different ideas for the cake but nothing hit me so I will go with the basic like I always do. I am nervous for I am out of practice and I honestly don't remember if I frosted the top first or the side...........Yikes! This crowd has not seen a bible cake in a while so they probley won't spot any mistakes. Got up at 7:15 and let Cole out. Bill and the boys headed over to NJ today to watch a race. The professional racers are in town and they got tickets to get in for free and sit in the tower. Trust me its a big deal, lol. Anyway after Cole out and fed I made some tea and made a batch of baby blue roses for the cake. They are in the freezer right now. I did a batch of laundry and just put another batch on. I have made my bed and ran the vacuum through the entire house. I am going to finish my second cup of tea in a few minutes and after I log off here head back into the kitchen. My butter is soft enough now so I can get a batch of buttercream icing going and get the cake iced and back into the frig. Katie's best friend Meghan is flying in this morning from NC and she is excited to visit. I will drop them off at the barn around 12:30 and I guess pick them up sometime around 3:30. I will be able to get the cake done, some ironing, pack a bag and maybe rest before heading up to CT sometime around 5:00. Our weather is a bit on the overcast side but I sure hope the rain stays away. I have had enough for a few weeks. Everything is soggy........carpets, clothes, towels! Well best to get a move on it or I will be running around like a crazy lady.......oh wait the kids claim I do that now anyway. Have a good day and if someone finds a hammock let me know what its like please. Susan I sure hope your room project gets finished up soon. Glad to hear your carpet is going in.

Nancy, we're an hour or so away (maybe less with less traffic) but I wish you could come to our Sunday morning class!

It is so unsettled when work is being done in the house. I used to find myself walking around in circles because I didn't know where to start or when.

Oh go for the orange!
